"E X C E L L E N T !!! I was there for 4 days and I had an amazing time. Far above the expectation. I left with 3 beautiful leather items and plenty of knowledges about leathers, tools, techniques, ... From the first moment you can realize how passionated is Jason about his job and how much he enjoys sharing his knowledge. He was really patient and helpful, and he even answered me a thousand questions I had. It's a hands-on workshop where you get to learn and to do the entire process by yourself, with Jason's help. I don't like courses where you only sit and watch, definitely Jason's course is far from that. I really enjoy it and I would highly recommend it without hesitation to anyone who is interested in leather and handcrafts."

"This has to be one of the best short courses I've had the pleasure of attending set in a beautiful old mill, a wonderful creative space. Due to the small group it was in effect, one to one tuition. Both Jason and Louise are knowledgeable and passionate about their craft. It was a treat to be taught by such positive, patient people who are genuinely enthusiastic about sharing their skills. Thank you so much for a great two days, I'll definitely return."

"An absolute dream of a course. Just enough over two days to turn out a finished bag. Never overwhelming, always informative and clear. Guides you on the road to wanting to take things further. Jason is patient and very clear on all instructions. I fully intend to persue leather work and Jason is always there for contact and advice. I would even go back on an additional course for furthering my dream to work leather."

"Top notch. We came for the one day course a couple of months ago as an anniversary gift for my wife. After a warm welcome from Jason we learnt a lot about types of leather and dye, tools and techniques for working with leather. The hands on aspect was great, and we came away with fantastic items we will get lots of use from. Overall, it was a brilliant day, and we look forward to coming back for the two day course sometime."

"My wife and I enrolled on the Diamond Awl 2 day course, with a view to learn some new skills, and spend the weekend doing something out of the ordinary. The whole experience felt like a real privilege! The course is run by Jason, who has his own high-end leather goods company. He is such a nice guy, and extremely knowledgable and passionate about his craft. His studio is in a beautiful mill building in a very lovely part of the world. The studio is very cool, with an amazing collection of unusual artefacts. It was very relaxed and an enjoyable atmosphere. The course is only for limited numbers. It was just the 2 of us for the weekend, which was great. The bags that we made with Jasons guidance are beautiful, of absolutely superb quality, and something to be truly proud of. All-in-all, a highly enjoyable and rewarding experience that I would recommend to anyone without hesitation."

"Right from the offset Jason and Louise were exceptional. From agreeably changing dates awkwardly last minute (there’s always one!), to encouraging and helping me finish off little tweaks to my devine tote at the end of the weekend before starting the 2hr trek home. The whole experience was a true inspiration, the imparting of knowledge and skills was delivered openly, as if from a friend you’d known for years, and with the highest quality materials to utlilise, the experience was sublime. Encouraged during the weekend that we can have more than 1 career in a lifetime, my eyes have been opened to a special world to which I intend to continue with passion and vigor. If questioning whether to attend, make no hesitation, book it! Great recommended accommodation too, >1000 gins was pleasing to the eye after a great days leather work!"

"Sitting in a mill on the side of the Pennines - what a way to miss the hottest Bank Holiday for many years!! But it was definitely worth it :) Jason is an excellent and knowledgeable tutor with great support provided by Louise. Their enthusiasm is infectious. The workshop itself is well thought out with plenty of time to ensure everyone can work at their own pace to create a lovely final product without feeling rushed or pressured. Highly recommended !!!"
