I’m Carrie, and I’m an artist and art and crafts teacher based in Stanley, north east England.
I have been teaching art and crafts since the early 2000s and teach a weekly art and craft workshop in the local area for a social prescribing programme. Through personal experience, and having lived with depression and anxiety since the early 1990s, I know just how engaging with art and crafts can bring about a wonderful sense of wellbeing and relaxation. I absolutely love passing on my knowledge and the benefits of art and craft for wellbeing.
I particularly enjoy teaching absolute beginners, so rest assured, whatever your art and craft experience, I will guide you through the process and make it as enjoyable as I can for you!
I love to share my knowledge and tips and techniques, so I hope you'll find the classes fun and informative.

"Carrie was an excellent teacher. She made the technique simple to understand and once I had grasped the basics, she helped me to create more intricate work. I left with several pieces of work and an in-depth handout to refer to and further develop. Carrie is very approachable and friendly. "
