I am a glass artist (and lover of stone painting) who's been designing and creating bespoke contemporary stained glass commissions since 1998. I love to create glass pieces that are pulled in from the things around me that inspire me in life. I would love to help you create your own glass piece or stone paintings to take home with you at the end of our workshop together. "Ruth is a wonderful teacher. Her studio is warm and welcoming, in a lovely location, and she has a wide and stunning range of glass to choose from. She taught in a way that felt really empowering, giving me direction and guidance when needed, but also allowing me space to take initiative, which helped me build my confidence. I came in with a design I thought might be too ambitious, but with Ruth’s support I finished it in a day and I’m really pleased with the result. Ruth has years of experience and answered all of my questions, even printing a useful list of equipment for me, in case I want to continue. She was generous with materials and let me try one section in two different colours when I couldn’t decide, which was very kind. On top of that, she very generously kept the teas and coffees flowing. Thanks so much for a wonderful day, Ruth x"
