"Ruth is a wonderful teacher. Her studio is warm and welcoming, in a lovely location, and she has a wide and stunning range of glass to choose from. She taught in a way that felt really empowering, giving me direction and guidance when needed, but also allowing me space to take initiative, which helped me build my confidence. I came in with a design I thought might be too ambitious, but with Ruth’s support I finished it in a day and I’m really pleased with the result. Ruth has years of experience and answered all of my questions, even printing a useful list of equipment for me, in case I want to continue. She was generous with materials and let me try one section in two different colours when I couldn’t decide, which was very kind. On top of that, she very generously kept the teas and coffees flowing. Thanks so much for a wonderful day, Ruth x"

"I absolutely loved my day making stained glass. I did a 1-2-1 day course bought as a birthday gift from my family. Ruth was very knowledgeable and friendly. It was a relaxed atmosphere and she was happy to go along with the design I wanted to do (and even had the template ready for me when I got there). I loved all the processes involved and I am so pleased with my end result. Thank you Ruth I will hang it in pride of place xx"

"I thoroughly enjoyed my first lesson with Ruth – the 3 hour taster 1-2-1 workshop. It was so interesting and such fun that time flew by. The session was very easy going and at each stage of the process everything was well explained and demonstrated. I learnt lots and had fun along the way. Ruth is patient and explains everything so well and gives you the confidence and encouragement to do well. Her pace is spot on and the facilities are excellent. I enjoyed the course so much I have booked my next session, a full day 1-2-1! I have sent her my next design so that Ruth can design and have the pattern ready and I’m look forward to creating my next challenge to see how far I can stretch myself and have fun and confidence along the way."

"Thank you so much Ruth for a perfectly relaxed 3 hour 1-1 glass art starter session that I purchased for my partner. He really enjoyed it, and was very impressed with the tulip you helped him to create which is now hanging on our tree. I also enjoyed sitting in your garden (having a little peak occasionally!) and kept company by your lovely dogs Luna and Willow - particularly little, lively Luna! Thank you also for the regular offer of drinks which was very much appreciated. The whole 3 hours was neither rushed or stressful - you are a lovely person to be taught by. "I totally recommend this course as a wonderful way in which to explore using copper foil and creating a beautiful piece under the guidance of Ruth. From the start to finish of the day Ruth was patient, helpful and guided me through making a beautiful dragonfly. I was guided through the steps of cutting glass, to grinding, foiling and then soldering and found each process fascinating in its own right. Ruth was happy to help me solve any problems I encountered. It was a pleasure to spend the day in her workshop and even more so to go home with a beautiful piece of work to remind me of my day. As a result of the day and Ruth's encouragement got the 'bug' and will carry on learning more about the art of working with stained glass. Thank you Ruth for the best day I have had in a long time."
