"It was a frosty day, however Di gave a warm welcome in her cosy artists workshop. She demonstrates, inspires and encourages you to experiment with the materials provided, to create a unique sculpture. I had so much fun, a totally relaxing, positive day. "We both thoroughly enjoyed our first taste of pottery. Di's studio was in a lovely rural setting which was inspiring - as was Di who made us feel relaxed whilst taking us through the basics of hand pinching and rolling clay . It was a very enjoyable whilst informative session which made time fly by and left us wanting more . We are planning to come back soon so we can learn how to glaze our "masterpieces"."

"My wife and myself (a non crafty person) had a great day on this course with Di showing us what to do. Would never have believed that by the end of the day we would have gone from a piece of wire to a bronzed style sculpture of a pair of hare's. "I thoroughly enjoyed the day long Giacometti sculpture course. Di was the perfect host and the whole experience took me back to the little bit of sculpture I did at art school many years ago. The studio is set in beautiful surroundings and being away from all other distractions was the ideal environment to relax and be creative. I was so inspired by Di that I am considering taking up sculpture as a hobby. "

"This course was great day out and I’d highly recommend it for anyone wanting to learn a new art skill. The teaching was pitched just right so I left with a piece that was all my own creation. The pace was just right, and cups of tea and chatter available all day. This day was definitely worth the time and money. "

"We had the best day with Di in her fantastic home studio. She was so lovely we felt like we were spending the day with a friend and had a really great time doing something different as a family. We were so impressed with what we all managed to achieve and we all had a finished sculpture to take home at the end of the day! I'd give a sixth star if I could for the sparkling company of Bojo the dog throughout :) (we were asked if we minded him joining us!) "

She was a fabulous teacher and so accommodating, very kindly rescheduling after illness struck our original booking a few months ago. We had SUCH fun and are all thrilled with the results! "I became inspired to learn a little about sculpture after seeing The Helmet, by Henry Moore, in the National Gallery in Edinburgh, which is simply stunning. After I returned home to Essex I found Di’s one day workshop on the internet and booked myself on. The day was simply fantastic and I came away with a bronzed cat, which I am very pleased with. Di’s instruction is excellent, the facilities are great, and I can honestly say the day surpassed my expectations. I can thoroughly recommend the workshop. If you have an interest in sculpture and want to make something that is not too difficult this is a great place to start. I am about to collect together materials to have a go at making another piece myself at home."
