Maker's bio

After working as a sports physiotherapist for many years, Angela decided to explore her love of making and returned to part-time education. In 2009, she completed a Foundation diploma in Art & Design at Chelsea School of Art, London. She fell in love with silver jewellery making via adult education classes and for the past 10 years has continued to develop her skills in silversmithing.

"My boyfriend had booked me on to a silver ring workshop, and having never really made my own jewelry this was such a wonderful experience. Angela gave me the opportunity and confidence to choose my own design and run with my own ideas. She was very patient and a great teacher in the art of jewelry making. This experience was such a lovely and calming Sunday activity but also a great way to learn a new skill and come away with a bespoke and beautiful handmade ring at the end. All round, a delightful experience that I’d recommend to all!"

"This was a wonderful jewellery making session in a very inspiring garden studio. I learnt new techniques and made a shopping list of all the equipment I need to buy! We made a lovely bracelet which I will enjoy wearing. Angela is a very kind and patient teacher. Thoroughly recommend this workshop."

"Having had no experience in making jewelry ever, and wanting to do an idea of my own I found Ange very accommodating and very knowledgeable about why and what we were doing. Ended up with a really lovely ring, and had a great time making it! Would recommend to anyone who wants to try it."
