"I have been wood turning for about a year but never had a lesson from a professional teacher,what an eye opener. I learned so much in such a short time by a very friendly talented woodturner. Apart from all of the useful tips the greatest thing I learned from Andy was finesse. At the ripe old age of eighty one i'm hooked. "I gave my Partner a day with Andy learning wood turning, and did the course with him. It was a super day. Andy was warm and welcoming. His workshop was professional, and safe. His equipment was very high spec and well cared for. Andy was very reassuring , and encouraging, and my Partner was delighted to be able to get on with his bowl and experiment under Andy's watchful eye, or ear. I would highly recommend this course. I learnt so much about holding the tools correctly and the different effect of different cuts. And we both took home beautiful bowls we had made."

"I recently had a one-on-one day with Andy and, as a new-boy to wood turning, I was not disappointed. He patiently explained the craft, took me through the tools that are used and all aspects of the lathes and the other machinery that he has. He advised on the various woods used for turning, and how best to season the wood. He helped me turn a bowl during the day using a variety of tools. He also advised me on the best makes of lathes and other machinery that I should be considering for in due course, and offered to give me his opinion on any machine prior to me actually buying. I would highly recommend Andy for anybody wanting to find out about wood turning, or to improve their skills."

What a day I had with This skilled guy, Andy Browne, his turning ability was second to none with a professional workshop. He soon got me up and running to turn my own bowl. The day was fantastic I learnt so much in such a short time. I didn't want the day to end. I shall be booking a second day with Andy to take my skill to another level. "My son recently bought me a days wood turning course with Andy as a birthday present. Like my son I have always had a strong desire to be able to work with wood and design my own creations. At long last I had the opportunity to spend the day with a wood turning expert. Andy's wood turning skills are quite staggering. His very own turned creations are simply amazing. I even turned a small bowl myself with Andy's help which I could never have done before the course. Andy is a great teacher and has such a relaxed manner you will really enjoy the experience. "I recently completed a day's 'woodturning for beginners' course with Andy at his workshop in the delightful Hampshire countryside... I was a total novice to woodturning before and was slightly nervous about how well I would handle the tools/ machinery but Andy's calm and very patient nature put me at ease straight away. This really helped me relax and enjoy the day to the full. I learnt an incredible amount over the day and can definitely recommend it to anybody out there wanting to learn the amazing skill of woodturning. I was so impressed I bought another full day's course with Andy for my father as a birthday present! The added bonus are the stunning rural surroundings where Andy is based. You won't find a more desirable and idyllic location to spend a day woodturning, anywhere! A great day indeed - many thanks Andy!"

"Recently starting out woodturning I wanted to get some instruction to put me on the right path for what to buy and how to use turning tools, sitting behind a desk for my job have little such knowledge. Andy gave me an excellent days tuition, calm, friendly and very knowledgeable and I was made to feel at ease straight away. His workshop is located in wonderful surroundings and his very well equipped to say the least and we during coffee looking across the beautiful countryside that made the day even more pleasurable. I learnt a great deal and far more than I thought I would need from safety, wood, tools, how to use them and what to buy. I came away with my first turned item/bowl ever and am very excited to get going with my turning and what to buy. Thanks for a great day Andy,I will be back again."
