"We spent today doing this course and it was AMAZING!!!! Neither of us have done this before and we both absolutely loved it!!!! We were guided so well (thanx Andy)! My husband and I were complete beginners so I was quite nervous I wouldn't be able to do it- Adrian is a fantastic teacher and explains all the steps and processes clearly and is really supportive and happy to answer any additional questions. The course is really well organised and the food for lunch and breaks is amazing! I can't believe we made 2 flowers each ourselves! "Made a ram's head poker, with group supervision from Adrian. The day starts with a hot drink and informal introductions, but the focus quickly changes to essential information intended to make sure that you have a safe and enjoyable day. Adrian gives clear and concise instructions for each step of production, leaving you to concentrate on what you're doing and only assisting when asked! The food made by Debbie was superb (and plentiful) and added to the relaxed and friendly atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this experience."

"Absolutely brilliant day. Adrian was fun, friendly and a great teacher. He demonstrated the process in small stages and then let us have a crack at each stage ourselves but was always available if we were finding it tricky. Hot drinks and lunch provided was delicious along with the most amazing cheesecake on our visit. Highly recommend this experience. "

"With temperatures reaching 32 outside imagine what it was like with 5 furnaces going all day. We hammered and sweated all day under the expert help of Ady and Andy. We were fed and watered thanks to Debbie. Went home with 2 flowers, of which very proud, and a few blisters but what a fantastic day. Thank you for keeping Heritage Crafts alive. Roll on the swift challenge. "

"This is a fantastic, full on day that my wife bought for me. I made 2 garden flowers using the furnace and a shed load of hammering. Ady and Andy were great at giving advice , but also allowed us to give the work our own ‘creative' finish. There were ongoing works of Ady’s commissions and these are spectacular - a true craftsman and his enthusiasm and love of his work is obvious. I highly recommend this if you don’t mind the heat and want to come home with something that will look great for years. "

"My wife and I enjoyed a great day, with something interesting to take home with us. Instruction was kept to a minimum but help and advice were readily available. Very much a hands on day and well worth the visit. Cake and lunch were awesome too. A very select group so no problem with access to tools and furnace. All in all a well organised and memorable day. Thankyou to all concerned. "

Debbie also provided great food and cakes to keep everyone going. Everyone was at beginner level but everybody managed to create their own pieces without being rushed. Would definitely recommend."

"This was an absolute fabulous lads n dads day out learning a new skill. Debbie was very welcoming and greeted us with tea and cake, Ade and Andy were very professional and gave us just the right amount of heath and safety brief! A good demo and then we were straight into heat and hammers. My 20 year old son enjoyed it immensely as we worked together at the forge and helped each other to produce a pair a dragons. We were taught a good range of traditional forging skills which gave our work pieces great detail, functionality and even personality in the dragons heads. Andy was able to correct our inevitable mistakes so that we all had had a useful gift to take home. Food and cakes were all homemade using local produce which was very well received to replenish energy levels. All in all, a suburb days activity which I would highly recommend."
