This two day course is intended to stretch those with a degree of woodworking experience or maybe has already attended my Beginners/Basics course. However, this is not essential, as full detailed instruction will be given in the making of a small box with lift off lid.
The theme will be the detailed process of hand cutting dovetails. This will give you an introduction and experience into creating the cabinet maker's ultimate joint.
The course will be predominately project led through the making of a small trinket box in English Oak, hand-crafted by you to take home.
I have a relaxed and informal approach to tuition and there will be no more than four participants on the course to allow for maximum individual attention.
The Dovetail workshop, is located in the beautiful Staffordshire countryside, based in a Grade II listed, mid 19th century boat maintenance building on the Shropshire Union Canal and is within easy reach of the M6, J14.
If you will be redeeming a CraftCourses gift voucher on this course, the voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
