Join our friendly and welcoming weekly online art class on Wednesday afternoons.
This group is suitable for all, from people who haven’t painted since school, to professional artists.
Louise has a wealth of experience and can help you with all areas of art and design. She will encourage and guide you. The online class is a great way to meet people with a similar interest. It’s fun, and people paint and draw together, enjoying a feeling of community as their work develops.
Louise started her Art training at North Staffordshire Polytechnic, then The Royal College of Art. She worked as a designer in the Ceramic industry, becoming Art Director at The Royal Crown Derby Porcelain Company.
Every week, you’ll receive a newsletter with plenty of inspiration, new projects that you can join in with and a gallery of work created at our weekly art classes.
We’ve explored inspiring subjects during the last year, from Nature, Figures in a Landscape, Pop Art and Impressionism, to Portraits, Flowers, Birds and Buildings. Through these, we learn about composition, colour, perspective etc, in fun, creative and expressive ways.
The price is £10.00 per week and you’d be very welcome to try a class.
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.

I really enjoyed the class. I felt free to get on with my work in the first instance. Maybe in the future I will do what the class are doing. But I am on a mission with this painting and need guidance to assist me which I feel I will get from Louise. I look forward to continuing with the classes.
Response from Stockton Brook Studios:Thanks Carol. Maybe you could send me a photo of your painting and your reference so I can have a good look.
This class proved to be a great help during lockdown and it was something to look forward to each week. Louise provided us with inspiration as well as giving advice and a lot of guidance. It was good to be able to join in conversation with others in the group and view each others work. I now attend the Tuesday live class and thoroughly enjoy this. I also enjoy receiving and reading the weekly newsletter and learning about the work of other artists both past and present.
Response from Stockton Brook Studios:Thank you Liz for your review. It's lovely that we can be meeting at the Tuesday Class for real again .... for now!
These afternoons have been wonderfully creative during Lockdown. Louise is a great teacher who is able to guide us to see things in different ways. The company is friendly and supportive and we are all encouraged to find our own styles.
Response from Stockton Brook Studios:Thank you Lucy!
I joined the Tuesday Class just over a year ago with some trepidation having just moved to the area. I was delighted how friendly and encouraging everyone was. Louise is so supportive and always ready to help. I had never painted flowers and foliage before and it was quite a challenge but with the help I received I am improving slowly but surely. I now look forward to my Tuesday mornings working with a really fun group.
Response from Stockton Brook Studios:I also really look forward to my Tuesday mornings.
Lovely art workshop with interesting and varied attendees from all walks of life. Everyone is encouraging and friendly. It’s a great social event each week. The art tutor, Louise provides inspiration and support when it’s needed but allows each artist to develop their own talents. It’s a wonderful session, to make friends, enhance artistic skills and relax. I’m glad I joined
Response from Stockton Brook Studios:Thanks Shirley! I really love all your individual styles and talents .... you all bring so much to the Tuesday class.
Great class , we all are at different levels but all have strengths and weaknesses, Louise is very encouraging as are the other people in the class. It's not a competition. We just all enjoy the few hours of relaxing and enjoying painting. We all learn from one another which is really nice a mixture of ages and experience.
Response from Stockton Brook Studios:Thanks Helen! I am looking forward to a new creative year. I love to see everybody’s work and ways of looking at things.
I really enjoy the Wednesday art class, you get plenty of help advice and the chance to try different media. The class is not too big and we are all at different levels and have different ideas which makes it interesting and fun.
Response from Stockton Brook Studios:Thanks Lesley. I really enjoy our classes, and love to try different ideas with you all. A lovely moment in my week!
