One day mixed media art workshop with Clare Tebboth, for beginners and up. Would you like to add texture to your landscape paintings but don’t know where to start? Want to be a little more adventurous with your techniques? This workshop will fill you with ideas to incorporate colour, textures and ways of mixing different art materials. Suitable for beginners and up. Your experienced tutor Clare will guide you to create a number of landscape-inspired paintings. You will discover effects that can be created by combining different paints, mediums and collage pieces. A delicious lunch with your tutor and fellow students is also included. Refreshments are provided throughout the day to keep you going! This is a day where you can truly let your hair down and get creative (and possibly a little messy too!) You will learn: Some of the possibilities of different media Developing an initial idea into a finished painting Strategies to solve problems when working on your picture Ways to create gelli printed collage papers How to have fun and explore new ideas in your painting! You will need: Please wear old clothes as you may get messy; an apron is provided Materials necessary will be available on the day but you may like to bring any other materials special to you e.g. papers or sequins or images you would like to try to incorporate in your work.

Sadly not - due to the nature of the materials our classes are for adults only.

Yes.
With all one-day and longer stained glass classes we include an info pack with details of the tools you've used and suppliers plus reminders of techniques used. This isn't included in half-day classes.
We'll be delighted to help you decided what's needed.

For fusing classes we're happy to advise on tools, materials and kilns on request.

Materials are included in all beginners classes - fusing and stained glass.
Please bring reading glasses if you use them, and sturdy fully enclosed shoes (no sandals).
Aprons, googles and gloves are provided where needed.

Because you will be using lead and solder containing lead on stained glass classes.
Lead is known to pose a higher risk to babies than to adults.

We welcome participating friends or partners.
Sadly there isn't room at most classes for non-participating friends or partners.

Of course!
Fused glass will need to be collected after firing - we will contact you when ready.

This depends on which class you're planning to book.
For stained glass classes - it will be difficult to complete the class if you have severe arthritis or similar.

For fused glass classes - we suggest you choose a class which doesn't involve glass cutting - feel free to contact us to discuss.

If the class you're planning to book is described as 'for beginners' then yes!
Some of our classes are for improvers - these are described as such in the listing.

We have GF and Vegan biscuits in stock normally.
We will bring in non-dairy milk if advised in advance.

Lunches, where included, are provided by the Bell Cafe nearby which caters for intolerances, vegetarians and vegans.
