In this one day workshop, you will learn how to weave with unusual materials, those which are often thrown in the rubbish bin!
We will use plastics, cables, cords, old clothes and jewellery, and other random items, to make beautiful new fabrics. You can make a small bag, table mat, or a small wall hanging.
Both beginner and experienced weavers will enjoy experimenting, and it's all good for the planet!
If you will be redeeming a CraftCourses gift voucher on this course, the voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
All materials will be provided, but you're welcome to bring any oddments from home too.
You have the option to buy the weaving frame, pickup stick and shuttle at the end of the session.
Tea and coffee provided, but please bring your own lunch.

I attended Sarah’s course yesterday with my 17 year old daughter and it was a lovely day to spend a miserably grey Sunday together. Neither of us consider ourselves particularly crafty but we were intrigued and Sarah had brought many samples to get inspired by, as well as a huge amount of different materials too. She had also prepared perfect sized frames which you could purchase at the end if you wished to continue weaving with waste at home. It was fun being within a very mixed class, and very satisfying to take home our various finished weavings by the end of the day, all reflecting our differences and tastes.
Excellent value for money and good humour + valuable, clear and patient instruction.
Response from Weaving with Waste:Thanks Natalie, you and Maya did brilliantly, I loved your colour combinations. Fingers crossed you do more in the future.
