Description
This course is aimed a people with no experience in woodwork but would love to make a musical instrument. We start the day with a part assembled kit that has all the materials for you to complete the ukulele in 4.5 hours plus 20 min lunch. There is no dangerous machinery needed in this build. Just bring a bit of common sense and you will have a great time with plenty of tea and coffee to keep us going. If we get time I may even sing a song at the end !

My love of woodcraft was due to a meeting with a guitarist friend who had made an acoustic guitar. We talked about his guitar for many hours and I thought it would be a challenge for me to have a go! Well that was 6 years ago and now in 2023 I am in a small workshop in Stoke where I build various instruments. The Strumstick instrument build is a great way to get to grips with fine woodworking and is an ideal step towards acoustic guitar building. No experience in woodwork is needed.
