Two day willow deer workshop

Amanda Rayner will be running this 2 day workshop weaving willow deer. Over the 2 days you can expect to learn the skills and techniques needed to weave this 4 legged creature. It takes time to create something worthy of putting in your garden for Christmas and many of these sculptures are so lovely that they remain in the garden throughout the year. On the first day we will focus on putting the framework together and making sure your sculpture will stand up and then on day 2 we can focus on the details and work on character.

What's included in the price?

All tools and materials will be provided. I always have tea, coffee and homemade cake on the go... I'll probably do a soup and crusty bread for it's Christmas, mulled wine and mince pies too! Bed and Breakfast available very near by.

I started wyldwoodwillow back in 2001 after weaving for a year or so... It helped me through a particularly difficult chapter in my life and I discovered that I had a burning desire to share the healing nature of weaving. I started teaching workshops fairly early on and weaving pretty much anything I could, currently I weave baskets, coffins, living willow, sculptures and create furniture and decorative fencing for the home and garden. My business is successful and I am a full time weaver.
