Pot throwing- one to one

Ambition

Description

This course is suitable for experienced hobby potters, enthusiastic potters, intermediate potters and those professionals that would like to learn any aspect of throwing pots on the wheel. It can cover making larger items like casseroles and taller vases and jugs as well as additional skills like making spouts, pulling handles, creating lids, turning foot rings and obtaining particular shapes.

All clay and where needed a firing service can be provided.

"Had a great morning, learning the basics of using a wheel to throw a pot. Good atmosphere in the workshop area, a simple but effective set-up. Clear instruction given and great patience shown by Richard with the number of attempts needed to arrive at a recognisable outcome, mainly pots but a few dishes thrown in. Positive feedback after each attempt. All 5 students arrived at one or two successful results by the end. Now, need to go back to glaze the pots at a later, to be arranged date."
