Mokume Gane; gift making, polymer clay

Beautiful outcome

Mokume Gane is an old Japanese technique used with metals that is adapted to use with polymer clay resulting in always magically beautiful pieces of art.

You will be guided through the steps and once you have created your own, unique sheet of Mokume Gane clay, you decide what objects you will turn it into: jewellery, little dishes, buttons, key-rings or other objects; your imagination will guide you and you will create a selection of items.

The workshop follows covid-19 guidelines and the number of participants is reduced to a maximum of 3 (unless you're from the same household). Visors will be available and everyone will have their own individual set of tools and equipment.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.

What's included in the price?

Please bring your own drinks and a snack if you like.

All materials are included, but for those who would like to use additional necklaces, silver sterling earring hoops, key-rings or clay, they can be purchased during the workshop.

In-person course
Pam Hornor - - #27618

This was a totally Fabulous afternoon with Helga. I went with a group of friends - some had worked with polymer clay before, some had not - we were very 'mixed abilities' and what was amazing was everyone was cared for, we were all delighted with the end results, Helga supported and encouraged but it was all our own work!! I had never even heard of Mokume Gane before - the results were such that I would feel comfortable giving them away as presents. Very competitively priced. I would certainly be happy to do a workshop again with Helga and would recommend her to any one - any age or ability. Wish I could attach a picture to show the results.
