Description

I developed this kit not only because I like to work with recycled materials (and love handy pouches), but also because I wanted to share how I make rugs, cushion covers and tote bags by combining traditional rug ragging techniques with alternative tools. After making this handy pouch you’ll have the skills and tools to make your own rugs and other rug ragging items. You have the option to do a circular or stripy design. Detailed instructions (sent by email) with over 120 illustrations will have you rag rugging confidently in no time.

What's included in the price?

• Hessian template (circles). • Thread for hemming and sewing. • Black, lilac, red and cream strips of Bamboo jersey fabric. • Pliers (adapted). • Crochet hook. • Needle. • Pins. • Cardboard measures for 6 cm long piece. • Cardboard measures for 8 cm long pieces. • One handy pouch (17 x 23.5 x 4 cm). • Paper template (for the stripy version).

For more than 17 years I have provided after school Art Clubs and I still love it, but I have always wanted to work with adults so I get to work with materials and techniques that need more time and are too advanced to use with kids. I also want to prove that everyone can enjoy being creative and make something they are happy with. So far it works. After a Colourbuzz workshop everyone goes away with work they are proud of and pleased with! I offer workshops in my studio, but I can also travel and work with groups of all ages. Using my experience of working with primary school kids, I'm also happy to travel to a home/venue to do creative activities for a birthday party. I have completed a Creative Crafts Course an Advanced Silversmithing course and hold QTLS Status. In addition I am DBS checked.
