Aimed at crafty kids! This workshop is for complete beginners and is specially created for children of 8 years and over. Get your child away from a screen for a couple of hours and help them to learn an amazing skill for life! Crochet is extremely good for your mental health and well-being, which is super important for our children during these strange and stressful times. This mindful craft is taught in a relaxed, patient way and will give your child the basics to continue on an amazing crochet journey. The workshop has been designed with children in mind by a crochet instructor who is also a mother of three children. Who better to understand how important it is for children to diversify their hobbies and to engage in something that is so rewarding as well as good for their mental well-being. By the end of this workshop, your child will: Understand how their hook size, tension, and yarn weight affects the outcome of the finished piece Be able to cast a foundation chain Complete a row of single crochet stitches (US) Practice the correct way to turn and continue the next row Have the basic skills to continue to create their own crochet project working in rows - such as a scarf Please note that although timings are flexible on specified dates, if there is a time already scheduled, the workshop will run on that particular time slot and is not subject to change unless agreed prior.
