Jane is a very patient and enthusiastic teacher. Her groups are kept small to enable everyone to have individual attention. I would highly recommend Janes workshops whether you are are a complete novice or just want a refresher. I have met lots of lovely like minded people at the workshops. Its a lovely relaxing way to spend 3 hours. I was a complete novice when I started and with Janes excellent teaching I am now officially a crochet addict.
Jane's classes are excellent and I always look forward to them. She will help with whatever project you have going, has lots of patterns for new projects that you can learn new skills from, and brings in lots of examples of her work for inspiration. The groups are small and lovely and sociable.
Jane brings or even models lots of items to inspire you (beautiful lacy tops, hats, bags or just a simple throw), with easy instructions to follow. You don't feel rushed, and Jane leaves you to get on if you're managing fine but is available straightaway and generous with her time if you encounter a problem. Also, you can book into a class when it suits you and not feel tied down by having to attend a course of a set length. Three hours devoted to crochet with nothing else demanding your attention - lovely!
Excellent teacher, patient and calm. Small friendly classes, lots of attention given, and Jane is always there at the end of the phone/email if you get stuck between classes. The 3 hours just fly by. Highly recommend.
I concur with everything Loraine has posted above. Anyone wanting to learn crochet couldn't find a better teacher than Jane! She is a very friendly, patient and kind lady. I'm at a stage where I can get on with projects on my own, but I know Jane is on the other end of the phone if I get stuck!
Jane's classes are great! She asks what projects we are thinking of doing and sometimes actually starts the project herself just for us to see how the project will look! I am working through a number of different stitches in order to have a catalogue making it easy to refer back for different projects. All in all Jane is a great teacher, kind, enthusiastic and is very interested in everyone's projects. Good attributes for teaching crochet I think!
As a competent knitter, I was envious of those who could crochet, until one day I met a lady who raved about Jane. I booked myself a 1:1 starter session and haven't looked back! I first met Jane for the first time 2 1/2 years ago and following the starter session, joined a 6-week beginners workshop, which turned into an intermediate group. I can thoroughly recommend Jane's sessions, whether 1:1 or small group and whether you are a complete beginner or need to refresh you skills. Jane tailors her style and content to the needs of her students and provides demonstrations of various stitches to help continuous improvement and the ability to read patterns. Jane is incredibly patient, talented and knowledgable as well as a truly lovely lady.
I love Jane's crochet classes. They are small and intimate. Jane gives a lot of individual attention and help on whatever project you are working on. She also has a lot of patterns to start you off if you don't have anything.
