Humming birds - Adult beginners needle felting workshop
Description
An adult needle felting workshop with tutor Natalie Harris (Brooks). Natalie is a fine artist using needle felting and the creator of Roly Poly Ponies. During the morning session (10.30-12.00), Types of wool, needles and processes are explained and then you will use simple techniques to create the bulk of your bird. We will break for lunch at 12:00 for an opportunity to get some fresh air and explore the grounds. We will then return at 13:00 to add the finishing touches to your lovely, hanging hummingbird decoration. Suitable for beginners and first time felters. Please note that as a historical venue, some floors may be uneven and you will have to climb a flight of stairs. Full T+C's are available upon request
What's included in the price?
All wool and materials needed to make your humming bird are provided. Lunch is not provided, please bring a packed lunch or bring funds to purchase from the on site cafe. Admission to Wightwick Manor and gardens is included and you may stay up until closing once the the workshop finishes (please check the National Trust website for opening times).

Natalie is a fine artist that has been using needle felting as a part of her practice since 2015. Natalie uses felting in both 2D and 3D works and has had work shown nationally including the RBSA, Society of Equestrian Artists, Wolverhampton Art Gallery and The New Art Gallery Walsall. In 2017 she had work selected for the National Trust owned Beningbrough Hall's "Oh Wise Owl" sculpture trail. In 2018 she was selected for the "Character Portrait Project". She currently has work on show at The Art Yard and Wednesbury Art Gallery and Museum. Natalie is also the creator of the fun and quirky Roly Poly Ponies.
