Elephants - Adult Beginners Needle Felting Workshop

Taking place at Wightwick Manor, this is an adult (18+) needle felting workshop with tutor Natalie Harris (Brooks). Natalie is a fine artist using needle felting and the creator of Roly Poly Ponies. Types of wool, needles and processes are explained and then you will use simple techniques to create a fabulous elephant. This workshop is aimed at beginners and although this workshop is a bit longer than the usual beginners workshops, confident first timers are welcome. The Workshop will have a morning session, where we will make the legs and bulk of our elephant. At 12:30 we will have a lunch break and an opportunity to explore the grounds. At 1:30, we will return and add the details to our elephant, including the trunk and tusks. £30 per person, booking is essential. What's included in the price?

All materials are provided. Admission to Wightwick Manor is included and you may stay after the workshop up until closing time(Please check the NT website for closing times). Please note that lunch is not included, you may bring a packed lunch or use the cafe on site.

Natalie is a fine artist that has been using needle felting as a part of her practice since 2015. Natalie uses felting in both 2D and 3D works and has had work shown nationally including the RBSA, Society of Equestrian Artists, Wolverhampton Art Gallery and The New Art Gallery Walsall. In 2017 she had work selected for the National Trust owned Beningbrough Hall's "Oh Wise Owl" sculpture trail. In 2018 she was selected for the "Character Portrait Project". She currently has work on show at The Art Yard and Wednesbury Art Gallery and Museum. Natalie is also the creator of the fun and quirky Roly Poly Ponies.
