Cyanotype Workshop

Cyanotype is an early form of photography (sun prints) from which the term 'blueprint' is derived. It's a fun, easy process so don't worry if this is your first time. The workshop is suitable for beginners and children. We will be working with plants and foliage to create designs using paper and cotton fabric which have been pre-prepared with ferric ammonium citrate and potassium ferricyanide (non hazardous chemicals). You will be able to create your own unique prints on paper and a cotton bag to take away with you at the end of the session. We will be working outside in the beautiful Purbeck countryside so please wear outdoor clothes. Please bring your own apron and a drink. I am also able to offer a mobile service at your home in Dorset on request.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.

In-person course
Nicole Davids - - #33426

We had a wonderful morning with Jane making our cyanotype prints. Jane was very knowledgable and it was really interesting to find out about the science and history of this technique. The process was great fun and really easy to get great effects. There was plenty of time to try out different textures and objects as well as make pieces that were more considered. A really enjoyable workshop!

Response from Woods Creative:

Thank you so much for your review Nicole and I'm glad you enjoyed the workshop.
