Crochet Lessons and Workshops in Surrey

About the Course
At The Crafting Place you can find crochet classes for everyone and all abilities.
Lots of people book one to one lessons to learn from scratch or to cover a specific technique or pattern. The lessons are £15 per hour and have the benefits of going at your own pace and covering exactly what you want.
During the year we run a couple of sessions of beginner lessons that run for 8 hours over 4 weeks where you will learn the main stitiches and how to combine them into garments, and special techniques such as granny squares and flowers. You will also learn to read patterns so you can continue to crochet and develop your skills at home.
We also regularly run a short course of 4 hours over 2 weeks where you will learn to chain, make basic crochet stitches (single/double/treble) and read patterns so you can continue to crochet and develop your skills at home
Visit the website to find out more and see our listings. You can book through the website or call us to arrange a class to suit your exact requirements.

Vicky is a great teacher, she's very patient and we had a right old laugh as well as crocheting ! I can now do squares very neatly, and she's going to teach me how to do a simple scarf with rows next. I love all the different colours and textures of wool she has in the shop too. Fabulous !

What a little gem hidden in Surrey, Vicki really knows her stuff and has a lovely wool shop to boot, she also runs a great stitch and natter group too.

I asked Vicki about lessons when I was there for a childrens workshop in half term. She was really encouraging as I was a bit nervous as I'm left handed and my Granny struggled to teach me when I was young. We booked a 1:1 lesson and it was brilliant! Vicki offered the option of teaching me left handed but we agreed to go right handed as I want to be able to teach my girls. I learned so much in just an hour! I've been back 3 more times now and Vicki is really flexible about when I can come in and what we learn. I've actually made myself a beanie already - brilliant!
