About the Course
I offer individual or group tuition at a venue of your choice, within a 15 mile radius of Exeter. Why not gather a group of friends for an evening workshop? You provide the refreshments and I'll bring the resources for you to learn new skills or extend those you already have.
Alternatively, how about a 1:1 lesson at your own home? Let me know your level of experience and what you'd like to work on and we can arrange a personalised session.
Beginners: You'll learn the basics of how to hold the crochet hook, making chains and then the basic double crochet, half-treble and treble stitches which are needed to make a huge variety of projects. You'll also learn about how to match your hook to the type of yarn. I'll start you off with a project to continue at home - either a crocheted circular mat or 'granny squares'.
Improvers: learn some stitches you've never tried, make one of the simple projects such as a small pot, amigurumi animal, crocheted flowers or practical items such as a phone cover.
Maximum group size: 6
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
What's included in the price?
Basic resources such as hooks & practise yarn are provided. I have a few hooks that can be bought. Feel free to use your own hooks & yarn if you'd like.
Kathy was incredibly patient with me and helped me develop my technique at my own pace. At the end of the session I was able to read a basic pattern and crochet blanket squares so really pleased - thanks Kathy!
