Crochet for Beginners and Improvers
Contact course provider
About the Course
I run regular crochet workshops at ISCA Arts & Crafts down on the Quay in Exeter.
Beginners: You'll learn the basics of how to hold the crochet hook, making chains and then the basic double crochet, half-treble and treble stitches which are needed to make a huge variety of projects. You'll also learn about how to match your hook to the type of yarn. I'll start you off with a project to continue at home - either a crocheted circular mat or 'granny squares'.
Improvers: Come along to learn some stitches you've never tried, make one of the simple projects such as a small pot, amigurumi animal, crocheted flowers or practical items such as a phone cover.
The group is kept small so everyone can have help with their skills.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
What's included in the price?
Basic resources such as hooks & practise yarn are provided. I have a few hooks that can be bought to take away afterwards. Feel free to bring your own hooks & yarn if you'd like.
Tea, coffee and cake are also provided.
There is no parking at the venue, but plenty in the Cathedral & Quay car park nearby. Limited 2 hour street parking is also nearby.
