My name is Natasha and I teach crochet classes with Ray's Room! I have been crocheting since childhood and teaching people for lots of my adult life. I love crochet and colour and spreading this beautiful craft further. For me, crochet can be a stress and anxiety reliever and a way to practice mindfulness.
This course teaches an introduction to crochet. The way you'll learn will mean that you'll finish with two projects to keep as well as the confidence to move on to projects of your own after the course. During the course we will cover starting off, different stitches, placements and directions, changing colour fastening off, edging and reading crochet patterns and abbreviations. The way I teach beginners always starts with a granny square which you'll grow into your very own afghan blanket. The perfect way to learn and practice basics and find your tension. We'll also do some work on amigurumi style crochet (tight, shaped double crochet good for making dolls/toys).
As well as all of the fabulous course materials and extras included, as a Ray's Room Crocheter you will get exclusive access to the Ray's Room Crocheters Facebook group which is for those who are taking or have completed the course. And my support remotely when we're not in class. You'll also get 15% off all Ray's Room shop orders and exclusive discounts from partnership organisations.
Please get in touch for full details on course dates and times.
If you will be redeeming a CraftCourses gift voucher on this course, the voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

I went to Ray's Room crochet classes to brush up on my skills. I could crochet and learned as a young girl with my great aunt and grandmother. However coming to these classes has given me new skills and I have been able to make lots of different things. The classes are much more than a class, I've met new friends and enjoyed social events long after the classes ended. I have also attended a Christmas workshop that was brilliant. Natasha is not only a wonderful crocheter she also has the ability to teach, inspire and instil confidence. Age or ability is not important, every one is made to feel welcome.
Really amazing class, Tasha taught at everyone’s individual pace yet managed to pull the group together as a whole as well. It was a lovely atmosphere and I learnt some amazing crochet skills that I never would’ve been able to teach myself!
I learnt so much on this course. I only started it in October and not only did I learn a lot, it also made me really enthusiastic about crochet. After the course finished I went on to make another blanket and two shawls and I've got several more projects planned. I'd really recommend it.
I was looking for a course for a while so was pleased when I saw this on FB. Amazing course, from basics to blankets and more. Didn't matter how slow or quick you are tash always ensured everyone was okay and moving forwards. Definately recommend I am looking to do the next course 🙋🏼 Met some lovely people aswell.
