Description
Join us for an exciting 2-day copper foil stained glass workshop experience takeing place over two consecutive days - 18th & 19th April. This stained glass workshop is ideal for those who would like to make a larger piece of copper foil stained glass for the home or garden. Using the Tiffany method, this workshop is suitable for beginners and those who have previous experience looking to expand on their knowledge. Everyone will work at their own pace with plenty of guidance and inspiration from tutor Sharon. During this 2-day workshop, you will have the option of making a garden ornament mounted on a copper rod, which can be ‘planted’ in a border or can be mounted onto a fence post. Another option is a decorated mirror ready to hang on the wall when you get home. You will have the opportunity to design your own piece (subject to a design discussion and advice but it’s important that the design is achievable in 2 days. Alternatively, you can choose one of our designs. This workshop will be held at a ground floor accessible venue in Lechlade, not at the Craft Barn, so there’ll be plenty of space to work. Note: Please wear closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back. Due to the lead based solder you will be using, this workshop is not suitable for anyone who is pregnant or under the age of 16 years.

Crafting in the Cotswolds – what’s not to love? Lechlade Craft Barn offers craft workshops in the pretty Cotswolds market town of Lechlade on Thames. The Craft Barn is an attractive old stone barn at Karen's home and is the perfect setting to discover and develop your crafting skills. Owner Karen has a long-held passion for crafting, with backgrounds in retail and event management. Along with her workshops, she is joined by a talented team of guest tutors who offer a wide range of craft workshops. The barn is accessed via external stone steps with handrails on either side and unfortunately may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Some workshops are delivered nearby in the bright and spacious Memorial Hall complex and other local venues. In addition to published workshops, we also offer bespoke Crafty Parties for Hens, groups of friends and family, special occasions, or any excuse to have a crafty day.
