I'd been wanting to learn how to eco print for a very long time but hadn't been able to find any courses locally. Luckily I found Lena's Botanical/Eco Printing Course (which ran in June) a couple of days before it was due to start and it was the best thing I ever did. Lena is a great teacher and very knowledgeable and I learnt so much. The other ladies on the course were all very friendly and helpful and we all produced many beautiful eco printed fabrics and other items such as scarves, bags and T-shirts. I've found it very addictive and continue to experiment with eco printing at home at every opportunity. I would thoroughly recommend the course.

I have now done two courses with Lena. One on nuno felt, and eco/ botanical printing. Lena is a very thorough teacher, and you will learn correct techniques that work (although part of the fun of eco printing is experimentation!)
The courses are "full on" but fun. Bring a notebook to record techniques and results for the future. A camera or mobile phone can be useful for before and after photos too.
Lena's very good for answering any follow up questions you may have afterwards.

I would strongly recommend Lena as a teacher. She is clear in her explanations and demonstrations of the skills she is trying to impart and patient in helping students to master them. I was so impressed by the workshop making a beautiful nuno felted scarf on margalan silk last month that I came back for this workshop making a notebook cover and bookmark. Lena is very knowledgeable about her craft and ready to discuss and advise on all sorts of felting questions beyond the current workshop. She is generous in providing a large variety of different textiles to use, which allows you to try out things you cannot do when felting at home. The two workshops I have done with Lena have been very worthwhile in terms of learning skills, having fun and taking home something which gives pleasure.

I'm new to working with felt and found the workshop very interesting. Lena is an excellent teacher and breaks down difficult concepts and ideas into easy to understand instructions. She takes her time and made sure that everyone was able to produce some lovely flowers. The afternoon was really fun and friendly I will definitely be attending more of her workshops.

I really enjoyed this class and will definitely be back for more. Lena was so organised and managed to tailor her approach to everyone’s level of skill and ability. I really enjoyed having a go and made 3 beautiful flowers that I am so proud of. Her friendly approach and attitude made a long day seem anything but. Have a go, you will love it too.

I am very new to felting, but I am definitely hooked, the wet felting flower workshop was brilliant. Lens is a very talented teacher, who also listens to her pupils. It was a very relaxing day, and I came away with a fantastic flower made by me!! an original. and I also met some very nice people with whom I have so much in common.
Roll on the next class !

A wonderful workshop whether you are new to wet felting or have tried it before. Always a relaxed, friendly, informative experience. Lena shares her huge knowledge so openly and encourages you to experiment with colour and textures of your own choosing. It's a fabulous feeling to create your own unique piece of wearable art and gain new skills at the same time. A great way to de-stress too!

This was my second workshop with Lena; the first was needle felting. Both workshops were great. Everything is explained and you have time to create, you're not rushed at all. You even have time to break for coffee and cake. I would recommend any of Lena's workshops and will probably attend more myself.

Wet felted flowers is my second felt Workshop. I enjoyed this workshop . Lena was very discriptive talkers us through step by step making it easy to understand. Lena is fantastic at being very patient. I was able to take my time. I suffered severe anxiety and never thought of being in s group situation like this. These workshops are well structured informative and great fun aswell as being very therapeutic. Thank you look forward to doing my next workshop..

It is a while back I did this course but it's the most memorable course I have ever done. I never worked with wool before and now I am addict working with wool. I was amazed what a beautiful flower I made in just a few hours. Lena is very patient, explaining how to use the wool. She is a fantastic teacher knowing exactly what she is doing and helping everybody when they need help. I highly recommend this course.
