About the Course
This 4 week course of 2 hour sessions (8hours in total) is suitable for beginners to crochet and is aimed at adults (we run kids classes too... Contact us for details!). Groups are small to allow plenty of individual attention and support and the atmosphere is relaxed and fun.
During the 4 weeks we will learn different stitches, wool and needle types and how to work with them and how to build on these to make a beautiful blanket.
Participants are encouraged to think about their own projects which they can bring to class for additional support. We also provide advice and information on the best places to buy your supplies.
We also run one off classes and workshops and parties. Crafternoon tea and Christmas workshops are available now. Please contact for more information.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
What's included in the price?
You will be provided with a kit containing wool, a hook, notebook and pen and weekly instructions to work on during the lessons and at home. We also provide support remotely with videos.
Great idea to combine crochet and afternoon tea. Lovely, relaxing way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Leah attended a Kids workshop with Emma and Phoebe. She absolutely loved it and came home with her very own creation. Will definitely be back!!

My 10-year-old daughter and two of her friends recently attended a workshop with Emma and Phoebe. It was excellent. They came home with fun crafts they made themselves and supplies and templates to make more at home. My floor of my sitting room is now covered in colourful, errant pieces of yarn, like rainbow snow. Fantastic!

I was a bit nervous about the course as I had knitted years ago but never mastered crochet. But the group were fantastic, all beginners like me and Emma gave us all one to one support helping us to get going. I surprised myself by making a square in one night! The cafe where the classes are held was so relaxed and we were able to buy drinks and snacks. I really recommend these classes as you meet new people and make friends and Im not a beginner any more!
