This course is suitable for people of any age & ability, single people, couples, small groups and families.
Not suitable for hen or stag parties, unless booked exclusively.
We have been running our courses for 15 years and our holidays in Greece for the past 4 years. We have teamed up with the renowned company, Seafarer who are ABTA and ATOL protected, to provide an art and sailing week at the beautiful paradise-like Nikiana Beach Club.
Situated on the beach on the island of Lefkas in one of the most naturally beautiful regions in Greece! Situated at a secluded beach, swimming pool, sea views from every corner and the Seafarer water sports centre. This unusual combination works well and gives the opportunity to try other activities (or not), it's all included in the price.
The hotel is situated directly on the beach and is only a short walk from the quaintly traditional Nikiana village harbour.
Beth and Vicki like to run a very relaxed class to inspire you to find the joy that painting brings and where better to do that than at this beautiful little resort in Lefkas. This is for all abilities from total beginners to experienced artists.
As there are two of us teaching, you will benefit from individual tutoring and group demonstrations and guidance. We will spend most of the time painting outside (in the shade) to gather inspiration from our beautiful surroundings and showing you the necessary techniques to help you on your way and for more advanced artists we will be on hand to guide you at any time.
Included in the price are 2 day trips to various beauty spots on the island by coach. We will take you to several places, a monastery with a small animal sanctuary in the hills, Lefkada town, An old windmill set on the beach in paradise surroundings, Nidri town, the famous waterfalls and to the port of Sivitor to sight see and to paint. (non painters welcome at £50pp for both trips)
Classes will run for five of your seven days and you are welcome to either carry on painting later or to use the rest of your day to enjoy the weather, beach and water sports which are included in the price (including all water sports equipment). We will also be experimenting with these in the afternoons, which you are all very welcome to watch for some extra entertainment!
Home cooked traditional Greek food is available at the hotel or there are a few bars and restaurants a short walk from the hotel. We have found some fantastic restaurants with good quality, home cooked food. eating out is very reasonable in Greece for 10-15 euros for a 3 course dinner. We will be arranging some group evening meals at our favourite places throughout the week for those that wish to join us. Why not bring a partner? Even if they don't want to paint there are plenty of water activities and sunshine to indulge in.
There is a sunset cruise for £25 and needs pre-booking with Seafarer.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

I totally agree with the previous review. Fantastic helpful tuition and support, I went on my own but never felt alone as everyone is so friendly.
The trips were great and enabled us to see more of the area and paint in other locations.
I am planning to go again next year, looking forward to it already.

Lovely, relaxed painting holiday. Do as much or as little as you want. Master class from Vicky in the morning and then guided painting on your own, or with your painting chums as you choose. Interesting trips out and a lovely little hotel with good food, great location and good watersport facilities. What more could you want?

We had a great time in Greece this year and met some lovely new friends. Both Vicky and Beth were very patient and great company so much so we have booked for next year.
Thank you both.

Really grateful to Vicki and Beth for their guidance, faith and encouragement. Not having painted since school I was slightly apprehensive but I needn't have worried. They chose a beautiful relaxed environment in which to inspire, the other guests of were lovely and supportive of each other and the tuition was excellent. It's true to say I am now motivated to continue painting and will sign up for another Arty Party Break for sure!

I have to endorse ever thing I wrote about last year. Great teaching. Organisation, painting and partying . The location was even better than last year. I go for two weeks because the first goes so quickly. It is so great to meet friends who you met last year, and all the new friends I met this time.
Here’s to next year.

Absolutely fantastic course, enjoyable company plus positive and enthusiastic instruction. The setting was beautiful, with plenty to do for those not painting as well. Subject matter for painting was varied from still life such as flowers in terracotta pots, village life and quaint buildings, to stunning vistas of sun, sea and mountains. Thank you to Vicki and Beth for a well organised, relaxing and fun holiday.

A wonderful holiday. Vicki and Beth are a great team, teaching and organising. They took us to some fabulous villages and found some very inspirational scenes to paint, and some great evening entertainment. The holiday was very good value and we enjoyed every aspect of it. We're both still painting! We would absolutely recommend this holiday 100%

Thank you Vicky and Beth - What a fabulous holiday in beautiful Greek surroundings with great company! .
We loved the combination of painting and sailing and there was plenty to do at the hotel . Fantastic value .
Vicky and Beth are a such a good partnership and make sure everyone’s included and supported both during and outside the art classes . We had some fun nights dancing - Greek style , singing and a quiz night as well as visits to some excellent tavernas by the sea - Shirley Valentine moments were had to celebrate the gorgeous views and ambience !
The hotel does have steps and ramps so you need to be able and willing but our fitness improved as a result as the week went on .
Overall a very special experience - thank you - we will be back !

The September painting holiday in Greece this year was a fantastic experience from the beginning to the end. Vicky's paintings and teaching were excellent, and Beth's organisation made everything run very smoothly, from the travel arrangements to the great meals we collectively had at various restaurants in the local villages. The Leda location was stunning, with lovely greek style villas, and stunning views and locations to inspire the all the painters on the course. Both weeks the groups were all so friendly and great company to be with.
I would certainly want to return next year. Well done both of you.
