FAQs

The most common Shaper Tool to use when making flowers is the Black Shaper Tool. One 125ml tin of Resin Dip contains enough resin to make 366 (approx) petals using the Black Shaper Tool. For example, in the Daffodil Kit there are 3 tins of resin - one for the yellow outer petals, one for the orange inner trumpet, and one for leaves. It is possible therefore to make approx 70 daffodils and have orange and green resin left over to make other flowers!

The resin is weatherproof, although we have wreaths etc that have been in the snow, we cannot guarantee them from severe weather. We supply Stainless Steel wire which will not rust for some outdoor kits.

Literally minutes. Within 2-3 minutes you can handle the petals you have created and adjust them to make the flower the shape you want it to be. However the flower will continue to dry over the next 24 hours and you may see differences in the colour of the newly dipped and the finally dry flower.

Clean it up as quickly as possible as the dyes in the resin may stain. If you get it on your skin, either wash off immediately or leave it to dry and you should be able to peel it off quite easily (like nail varnish); if on clothing, again wash as soon as possible but it may stain. Inion Arts do sell thinners which may help to remove stains.

Yes, perfectly safe. There is a slight smell similar to nail varnish, and it is not advisable to work in a confined, ill-ventilated area but there is no need for any special equipment or clothing. It is not toxic (although not recommended to ingest!) and we have yet to find anyone who has had an allergic reaction to it.
