"I couldn't recommend this course higher! Jonathan is an absolute pleasure to be taught by, he is very patient, able to cater to needs, very informative. The experience I had was a hands on course and came away with two copper pieces, one silver and a piece from fold forming. The whole day is so much fun!!! I started this course with absolutely no idea what I was walking into and walked away with a bank of knowledge and a thirst to learn so much more. Like said above couldn't recomend any higher! Also included was a very tasty lunch!"

"This was a great experience, I am a qualified teacher and Jonathan is a very good teacher, I had one to one tuition from him. He was very structured but relaxed, knew exactly what he wanted to achieve in the given time and was confident that we could do what I wanted in the time. I was not so sure but of course he was right. I came away with two simple silver rings and the confidence that I could repeat the process on my own. He has a great small workshop in the garage of his home with all of the tools you will need and some great ones you probably wont. He supplied me with coffee and biscuits throughout and a lovely lunch (Great Cambazola). I will be attending a second day for Gem setting, can't wait. Highly reccommended."

"Jonathan provided a wonderful supportive and fun learning experience . He shared his experience and skills with great enthusiam , patience and generosity . The two days gave time to look in more depth at the various techniques and how they can be used to create a piece of jewellery that is your own creation. There was a good mixture of hands on experience and informative 121 tutoring in using materials and tools. The information sheets were extremely comprehensive and I left full of ideas , three beautiful pieces of jewellery and a desire to take my new found craft further."

"What a brilliant day. A good mixture of instruction and hands on learning very much geared to the learning style of myself and my friend who attended this one day course with Jonathan. We felt that we learnt a great deal and received lots of encouragement from a very patient tutor. As two complete novices it was certainly a great way to start silversmithing whether you intend to develop this into a new hobby or just do the day for enjoyment. "Was given a gift voucher for one of Jonathan's course as a Christmas present, to be honest was a bit skeptical at first as it was well out of my comfort zone...but, wow, what a day, have now totally been bitten by the silver bug. Jonathan's straight forward explanation of how to do things made me feel comfortable from the beginning, we worked through the basics and his support and mentoring was invaluable. Can't recommend it enough, whether you are a complete novice like me or someone with some idea about jewellery making."

"I was a bit nervous about learning silver jewellery making as I’d had a few bad experiences in the past with courses with too many people enrolled and not getting any attention from the tutor. After a session in Ely though, all my nerves went away. Thanks for a great day and the experience, I even came away with a beautiful ring. Your enthusiasm, knowledge and experience are very evident and you are a patient tutor, letting me learn through doing things and helping when needed. Brilliant!"
