"I have just done this course and enjoyed it so very much. The Spinning Barn is a calm and peaceful place and Theresa was a wonderful teacher. She was patient and kind. Her explanations were clear and told of a huge knowledge and experience. I learned so much from her and she has offered support if I am uncertain about anything. Theresa is extremely generous and has given me some great tips on good pratices for the whole process of fibre preparation, spinning and pointers on plying so that the end yarn can be reproduced. Joy reviewed: Drop Spindle Hand Spinning Taster Workshop

"I had a wonderful time learning the drop spindle. Theresa is really knowledgeable and was able to quickly see where improvements could be made (and also dealt with having a left-hander!) By the end of the session, I'd not just spun a thread, but been shown how to ply two pieces together and now have a very respectable little length of wool for my weaving projects! (Also, thank you, Theresa, for the gift bag of wool and spindle - I've been keeping up my practice!)"

"Thanks Theresa for a wonderful day yesterday. As a total beginner who had never even picked up a drop spindle before, it was very satisfying to go home with a skein of (somewhat quirky!) yarn. I appreciated your patience and encouragement, particularly as I was the only person in the group with zero experience. Thanks for letting me try a couple of different wheels. I’m raring to go now, and am going to look at an Ashford Traveller someone near me is selling. If it suits, I will be able to get practicing before I forget everything you taught us!"
