"Hi Kathy. Well what a wonderful day Heather and I had with you, we just loved every minute of it. Your hospitality and warmth, the fabulous environment to work in and the knowledge and skill you have, enabling both Heather and I to make wonderful wall hangings. "Had a wonderful day today with Cathy. We made a wet felted hat which is perfect for my requirements. Learnt all the techniques and Cathy was super helpful getting me through the whole process. Would highly recommend. I hope to be back for another session later in the year as I now feel the need to learn needle felting!"

Really good explanation of what we were going to do, then I started and with her guidance , by the end of the day had a beautiful clutch bag to go with a wedding outfit. The atmosphere was amazing, home made flapjacks and beautiful alfresco lunch, so tasty. I will be back with friends. Thank you Cathy and lovely to meet you Stefan. Christina"

"Cathy was such an inspiration and shared her extensive knowledge of all sorts of crafts. Her husband made some delicious flapjacks which we enjoyed with coffee on our arrival and introduction to wet felting. Cathy left us felting for a bit while she produced an amazing lunch set in her beautiful garden! We made a lovely wet felted bag, had some real belly laughs, in a gorgeous setting. An amazing day, thanks, Cathy."

"My Mum and I spent a simply wonderful day with Cathy at her studio. She and her family have created an idyllic, welcoming space for a wide range of crafts and activities. We tried our hands at wet felting which was great fun. We were delighted with the bags we created and got a good workout into the bargain! Although while it is quite an energetic activity it wasn’t too much, you don’t have to be super fit to enjoy it. Cathy cooked a delicious cake to welcome us and a superb lunch, and her family made us very welcome indeed. We are already looking forward to returning for another session!"

"My daughter and I spent a fabulous day with Cathy learning to 'wet felt' We each took home a highly individual bowl/pod made from Cathy's bountiful and very beautiful supply of Merino wool and silk in a myriad of wonderful colours ! We would thoroughly recommend this course to anyone interested in spending a very stimulating, creative, hands on day, eating wonderful cake with a warm and friendly tutor in a delightful setting - all in all a wonderful day - which I would love to repeat, when I have earnt myself another 'treat day' ! ? ❤️ to Cathy."

"I've just done a course at Tan yard studio with Cathy and am now the proud owner of a pair of lovely warm multicoloured felt slippers. I am not a very 'crafty' person at all, so my pride at having made something so beautiful and useful is palpable! The location is beautiful and I had a great time with two others in the converted barn with the log burner on and lots of coffee and cake. The vegetarian lunch was delicious and all home made. Highly recommended for a great day out."

"I've just spent a wonderful relaxing day with two friends on Cathy's felting course and am now the proud owner of a very beautiful and unique hat! Tanyard Studio is in a charming setting and the studio itself is beautiful, full of examples of what can be achieved on one of the courses that they run as well as all the raw materials bursting out of wooden boxes on the shelves around the studio. Lunch was delicious, all homemade (including the bread!) and hot drinks and cake offered throughout the day. Cathy was on hand every step of the way to guide us but making sure we did everything ourselves so that we could be suitably proud of our finished product. Get your friends together and book a course - you won't be disappointed!"
