"I have been on quite a few of Susan's workshops over the years. To make a wire bird in a day is a great experience and something to treasure for the garden. Susan is a brilliant teacher and gives guidance, support and encouragement throughout the day. Once you have made a bird there is a course to make something slightly more challenging. A Fox, Hare, Piglet is also achievable in the day. All the courses are great fun and worth every penny, with homemade cakes a delicious added bonus. Thank you Susan - will be back soon!"

"This is the second wire course I’ve done with Susan Nichols and I’m returning because I wanted to make a fox to go with the goose I made the first time... and because I enjoyed the course so much. Susan is welcoming and her workshop a lovely creative space to be in. The course is well structured and Susan has base armatures, tools and materials ready for the creature you want to build. She is skilful, patient and helpful throughout the day to enable one to go home with a finished project or nearly, as in my case, providing the materials to complete my fox tail. It was a satisfying, fun, and long day. To make a fox, the work is intense and tiring, but fun, and you realise how skilful Susan is because she makes it look easy. The cakes at tea break are lovely too!"

"A really good day and a lovely goose to show at the end of it. Sue has a lovely way of explaining and showing the technical aspects and made the day very enjoyable - her cakes helped too! I would definitely like to do another day and add to the flock."

"I was quite apprehensive before going on the course as I had never done any wire sculptures before. I needn't have worried as the day was really enjoyable. It was a small group with a very relaxed friendly atmosphere, good tuition and help and encouragement where needed (plus cake, always helps). My hands are a little arthritic but it wasn’t as hard as I thought, a bit tiring towards the end but we all managed to achieve what we set out to do. I made a curlew which has received many compliments already. I will be back to create more wildlife. Thank you Sue"

"We had a fab day with Susan making a wire goose. We were absolute beginners but with Susan's expert tuition it was made so easy and achievable. Beautiful home made cakes and bottomless cups of tea and coffee provided. Can't wait to go back and make something else....very addictive..."

"Was a little apprehensive attending this workshop, as I had never done anything like this before. However Susan’s positive encouragement and great teaching points ensured that I left with a fabulous pheasant and a great sense of achievement. A great day; so much so that I will be returning soon!"
