Had a wonderful day with a talented artist and teacher. Learnt a lot in one day about surface decoration that is going to feed into my ceramics work. Met lovely people with shared enthusiasm. Highly recommended! Cant wait to work with Louise again.

Response from Sugi Ceramics:Thanks Bob for hosting the workshop. It was lovely to be at your workshop again and work with yourself, Joe and your lovely students. I feel really excited about how their surfaces will develop as a result! I look forward to hosting your Pal Tiya workshop in Suffolk soon. (Great cuppa tea!!)
Took my two boys for a workshop yesterday and we all had a fantastic time. Lou was very patient and excellent with the boys. They have been asking when they can go back again. Thanks for making there day special x

Response from Sugi Ceramics:Thanks Mel for attending with your two lovely boys. It was great to see them really engrossed in what they were doing - it was lovely to have them back for extra time finishing their painting. :)
I had the most enjoyable 'clay day' today at the Sugi Ceramics workshop, Elmswell, hosted by proprietor and most talented artist Louise Gridley. I found the experience to be both therapeutic and relaxing, whilst allowing me to be present and focussed. I created a beautiful name plaque for my home titled, 'Spiritus', which is the Greek word meaning, 'Breath of Life'. It did me the world of good to get out of my comfort zone, and to be in a creative space, something I would encourage anybody to do.
Sugi Ceramics comes highly recommended to people of all ages and abilities.

Went along slightly reluctantly as would not call myself creative by any means, how wrong was I, I had a lovely day with Louise who is very patient! I enjoyed a very therapeutic, chilled and fun session making a house sign and a plate. For those of you have not tried it give it a go! Thank you Lou.

Response from Sugi Ceramics:Thank you Maela. I'm glad you had a positive experience and hope you'll be back for another workshop in the future! :)
Laila had a wonderful time with Louise. We had originally booked her in for just the morning session, but in the end she did both morning and afternoon as she was having so much fun.
Thank you Louise, Laila learnt so much and can't believe how many wonderful things she made with you.
Can't wait for the next one.
I wouldn't recommend these clay courses enough.
Katie Mitcham-Henry - - #20106
Response from Sugi Ceramics:I'm really pleased Laila enjoyed her day. She was a little workhorse and produced so many lovely outcomes. She was the youngest student yet sustained concentration and interest throughout the whole day - amazing!
My son Charlie had a fantastic afternoon being creative with clay. There was a real buzz in the studio and all the children looked so engrossed in what they were making. A clay workshop for children is a brilliant concept and such good value for money. Charlie would definitely love to attend another studio session and was planning on the way home what he would make next time.

Response from Sugi Ceramics:Thanks Shelly! Charlie's sign was awesome. He's welcome back any time to make a sign for his dad's workshop!

Response from Sugi Ceramics:Thank you for your review Eliza! I'm really pleased your house sign has been admired - your hawthorne design was a winner!
I attended a course in late 2018 and was thoroughly impressed with the course and Louise at Sugi. I made a house number plaque and two plates for family members during the day. Louise was very supportive (I last did some clay work in the 80s when I was at school!) and her enthusiasm shone through. I hope to go again in the future.
Rich - - #19653
Response from Sugi Ceramics:Thanks Rich! I'm pleased that you did not find the experience too daunting having not worked in this medium since school in the 80's! You were a natural. Hope to work with you again some time :)
