"I had an amazing day, Gigha is such a lovely, warm person and is a great teacher. She's incredibly knowledgeable and helps you create something beautiful. Her workshop is a lovely chilled out space to work in and the lunch and refreshments were very tasty. I'm already looking at doing another course :-)"
Stained Glass Workshops responded:
" Thank you so much, Rachel, I'm so glad you enjoyed it. :-)"
"I have attended several workshops with Gigha including a leaded garden panel one and fusing.
Gigha is a kind and patient tutor who really understands glass and how it can be transformed into beautiful works of art. She is extremely encouraging and also makes a great lunch if the workshop is over a day or two.
The studio is quirky and brimming with her own creations which only inspire you to make your own pieces. It’s like an Aladdin’s Cave.
One word of warning is that it is addictive and you won’t stop at one but I guarantee you will have a great time."
"I thoroughly enjoyed my glass workshop with Gigha and the other ladies who attended. I was a complete novice and did not take to glass making naturally but with Gigha’s patience and excellent tuition, I was able to make a lovely mobile in the end. I will definitely return as I now have the bug. The venue, lunch, refreshments, duration of course were all spot on so I would recommend this to anyone who has seen glass made by other people, give it a go you might surprise yourself! Sue"
"A fantastic day working on a glass mosaic mirror for my garden. Excellent tuition and a really enjoyable experience. The day was Covid secure which was reassuring. A tasty lunch and regular refreshments helped fuel our hard work. I look forward to joining another course."

"I have just spent a weekend doing a workshop with Gigha. I feel such a sense of achievement and am delighted with my stained glass panel, especially as I started off as a complete novice. The teaching was wonderful, the workshop was a lovely creative space to spend time in, the food and refreshments were very refreshing! I am looking forward to my next class where I plan to perfect my skills! Thank you so much x"
"Just had a wonderful day at the glass workshop studio with Gigha. She is wonderfully patient, knowledgeable and really wants everyone to enjoy themselves. Gorgeous lunch provided, and we all went home with some fabulous creations. Very reasonably priced. Highly recommended."
"I have been going to Gigha's workshops for a very long time and each time she helps me to make something I love. It's a day where I get completely lost in what I'm doing. We get the best lunch too and are looked after really well all day. Fabulous choice of glass and projects. I would not hesitate in recommending that you go. You will have a wonderful time. And please do not worry about safety and covid protection, Gigha has everything sorted really well. Thank you so much Gigha xx"
"We had a brilliant day at the stained glass mosaic workshop. We were shown lots of techniques for cutting the glass and how to do it with patience and great skill. We both produced really nice mosaics and enjoyed a day without the kids. This is my third workshop and I have already booked a Christmas decorations workshop. Highly recommended."
Stained Glass Workshops responded:
" Thanks so much, it was great to see you again and I'm glad you enjoyed it."
"I have just completed the Fused Glass course and found the whole experience a delight. Gigha was an excellent tutor - patient, clear in her instructions and advice, keen to pass on her expertise and enthusiasm, and happy to provide plenty of design ideas. The variety of glass and embellishments available to students was exceptional, with none of the "rationing" I have experienced elsewhere. The environment was safe, with current H&S requirements well thought-out. Lunch and endless refreshments were well catered for. I've already booked another course, and intend to do them all!"
"We booked a private day for the three of us, a middle aged couple and Mum (82). None of us had ever worked with glass before.
Gigha welcomed us with hot drinks and cookies, which were on offer throughout the day. And a jacket potato with salad lunch provided.
We started with learning to cut glass in straight and curved lines which we all practiced extensively, before deciding what we’d like to make.
We all decided to make different things as there was so much inspiration in the studio.
Because it was a private session Gigha was very happy to accommodate this.
There was lots of glass choices in both colour and texture.
Once we had cut the glass we learned to remove sharp edges with the grinder and fixed copper tape around all edges. This was followed by applying flux and soldering the pieces together.
I’m delighted to say that we all left with a lovely piece of artwork that we are proud to display in our home. One gothic inspired mirror, one light Catcher cube and one flat soaring bird light catcher. All very different, but fabulous memories of the day.
If we are in the area again we will be booking another session with Gigha who is an excellent teacher and artist."
"My sister and I had a private, 1-day workshop making leaded stained glass panels. Gigha is a brilliant, clear, enthusiastic teacher and her workshop is just a dream to work in. I was so delighted with the panel I was able to make in the session. The session was challenging and so satisfying. Gigha kept us stocked up with hot drinks, biscuits, cakes and lunch and we had a lot of fun! Gigha's own work is so playful and beautiful. She was great at advising on design and knowing what was achievable in a day and giving us plenty of time to practise different skills. Thank you, Gigha!"

"I got one of these as a birthday present and have just completed it. The instructions are easy to follow and it was a very welcome lockdown project for me. It was fun to make and you don't have to follow the pattern shown, you can put your own take on the design and make it truly yours. Mine turned out really gorgeous and I love it."
Stained Glass Workshops responded:
" Thank you very much Tina, I am so glad you enjoyed making the kit. ?"
"I have already done a few courses with this lady and was so pleased when my partner bought this kit for me for Christmas. I totally love it. I am keen on anything gothic so this was right up my street. The instructions are easy to follow and it came out so much better than I thought I could make it. It looks totally awesome in my flat and I can't wait until we're allowed to go again in person. Highly recommended."
"An inspirational one-day workshop in a creative and inspiring atmosphere, led by a very talented, patient tutor. A whole new skill set for me to learn but I produced two pieces of work that have been much admired!
Re: Covid-19: Hand sanitising stations and PPE is supplied and all tools, cleaned prior to us attending are for your exclusive use which was very reassuring."
"I’ve just attended my second glass workshop with Gigha, this being traditional lead work. It was an immense 2 days, quite hard work but well worth the effort. I am thrilled with the garden panel I have produced under her expert tuition.
For those worried about COVID restrictions, Gigha has everything, and more, in place to make this a truly safe environment In which to learn and work. No detail has been left out. Individual workstations, tools and protective PPE is there for everyone to use. She even serves you your own tailor made food at lunchtime instead of the buffet which was on my last course.
If you’ve not booked or rebooked one postponed because of Lockdown, you can do with full confidence because of the hard work she has done to enable her to offer her courses once more.
The leaded glass two days was just brilliant. Highly recommended. I can’t wait to do the next one!"
"A great two days! Gigha is a fantastic teacher, her enthusiasm for her craft shines through and her workshop is a delight to be in. The whole room is a show case for her talent, full of inspiration and ideas. She explains every process clearly so even complete beginners leave the course with a unique, hand crafted item to be proud of!"
"It was such a wonderful way to spend the weekend - I created a colourful, and professional looking panel to hang in my home. I am so pleased with my panel and it has already gained several compliments from friends and family. Gigha is so helpful and patient. She explains each step as you go along until you master the different processes. It was excellent value for money and I would recommend the course."
"Attended the mobiles and bunting workshop. A full day with great tuition and a beautiful piece of craft to take home! Gigha provides a wonderful learning environment with clear instruction and support, to bring out your creative side! ??"
"My husband, myself and grand daughters' Nan were given a surprise to attend the mosaic glass workshop as his lordship's 75th birthday gift. All three of us first timers, never having held the tools or glass before as a craft. We thoroughly enjoyed the day. Seeing the pictures of our masterpieces, Gigha the patient tutor has people lined up to join the classes. Gigha has a lovely workshop with delicious lunch and refreshments. I would recommend Gigha's classes highly. Shanta Shah"
"What a creative day. I attended with my sister and we'd waited with anticipation for ages as Gigha's workshops are so popular. She was so patient, knowledgeable and relaxed. We both started off with quite a little apprehension and were thrilled when we got the hang of glass cutting. The choice of glass and other bits and bobs was simply tremendous. A crafters paradise! We were in heaven. There was all manner of teas and coffees available all day and a delicious lunch with cakes to follow. I can't wait to book again."
