Maker's bio

Emine is a designer-maker of contemporary jewellery. She lives in Whitley Bay and works from her studio at the Biscuit Box Studios in Newcastle upon Tyne. Her work often explores amalgamation of materials and techniques to achieve harmonious wearable objects. She combines traditional silversmithing techniques with metal clay techniques. She shares her love of creating jewellery with others in her silver clay workshops within her studio and at six other galleries across North East.

"I had the best Saturday morning with my grown up daughter on this course with Emine. It was very interesting, relaxing, therapeutic and of course allowed us to be creative in a small setting - only 5 students. We all got on well and were supportive of one another and I would definitely recommend this taster session - it was informative and we all went home with some beautiful pieces of jewellery.
