With over a decade of teaching experience, Sarah offers 1 - 2 day willow basketmaking workshops for both beginners and those with existing willow weaving experience. Being passionate about natural materials and skilled traditional craftsmanship, Sarah has designed and created for you several different workshops that explore willow weaving, English basketry techniques and enable you to create your own truly special baskets and sculptures. All workshops are held in Mid Devon, (just 15 minutes from Junction 27 of the M5), and through teaming up with the nearby Lost Kitchen restaurant, not only do you receive expert tuition in a great venue but a lovely lunch too!

Deborah Stevens reviewed: Deer Willow Sculpture Day with Sarah Le Breton

"What a fantastic day! My first ever experience of willow weaving and I managed to make a large reindeer sculpture for my garden. Mainly due to Sarah and her enthusiasm for her craft and her great teaching style. To say that this lady puts her all into teaching the craft, is a bit of an understatement - she literally does, with boundless energy and joy! Not only was she willing everyone on, she encouraged the whole class to really go for it and make a sculpture in the size of our choice - we all went for large and it seemed to delight her that we were all so ambitious! She even sent us away with spare whips, if we wanted them, to carry on and enhance what we'd achieved! She also followed up with a comprehensive email with instructions on how to preserve our sculptures if we were placing them outside! Above and beyond! Thank you Sarah for a really enjoyable day and for being you! XxxX"

Sarah Le Breton Willow responded:

"Thank you Deborah for such a wonderful and insightful review. I'm so glad you had a brilliant day and hope that you gain as much enjoyment seeing your sculpture in your garden as much as you did when making it! Absolute pleasure, Sarah Xx"

"What an excellent, thoroughly enjoyable day. I felt I learned so much, not just about the practical side of basket making but also about the history of the craft. Sarah was a wonderful teacher and her enthusiasm knew no bounds. I also (amazingly) ended up with a gorgeous basket! Thank you Sarah for a fabulous day. "

Sarah Le Breton Willow responded:

"Hi Sarah, Thank you so much for your lovely review! I’m so pleased that you love you basket and hope that you use it for many years to come. The group was exceptional, my brain couldn’t quite take in that you were all willow basket newbies! Wishing you a lovely Autumn Sarah "

Owen Lewis reviewed: Willow Beginners Round Basket Workshop with Sarah Le Breton Willow

"Had a fabulous time on Wednesday making a willow basket for the first time with Sarah. I took my wife and mother along and all managed to make beautiful and functional baskets in a single day. The lunch was delicious, and we can't wait to use the baskets to collect our produce on the allotment. Already wanting to come back and make more!"

Sarah Le Breton Willow responded:

"Thank you so much Owen for your great review. It was brilliant teaching you all and I do hope that you enjoy using your baskets for many years to come! Best wishes, Sarah"
