"What a fantastic couple of days spent with Maggie, learning about the art of mosaic and applying ourselves to making our own unique arrangements. The four of us left with different, unusual works of art - a pheasant, a camper van, a house name sign and a tropical fish. Maggie's passion and enthusiasm is certainly contagious and everyone left at the end of day 2 thinking and wondering about new things to make and do. Great fun. Highly recommended."

"This was my second mosaic workshop and I thoroughly enjoyed this one, much more than the first one I took somewhere else. I found the materials we used to be a lot more 'user friendly' and Maggie coaches you carefully through every step. I often get 'creativity anxiety' when trying a new skill and I never had a chance to feel this here. Her warm chatter and ideas and enthusiasm carry you right on through to a beautiful finished piece. My daughter and I came from many hours away and were offered the B&B option. I had no idea what we were coming to - but this home and garden were amazing! Maggie and her husband truly live the mosaic lifestyle, there is beauty inside and out and they are the most thoughtful hosts. Glorious weekend - and you leave feeling like you've genuinely made new friends."

"I attended this course as a complete beginner and came home with a piece of work which is my pride and joy! Even if you have never done anything like this before, Maggie’s infectious enthusiasm will carry you through. You start off with very basic steps, gradually gain confidence and before you know it you find yourself staring at a mosaic and thinking “I did that!!” Throughout it all Maggie keeps up a stream of chat that will have you in stitches, and there’s a constant supply of food and drink too. "Maggie runs a fantastic workshop for beginners in mosaics. She is patient, supportive and motivational. Lovely garden showing lots of Maggie's work which has given me ideas for my next project. It was great to be able to bring home my own completed mosaic which I will display; thought I'd have so little skill the project would end up in the bin...but not at all, thanks to Maggie's great teaching style. Great cake and soup is an added bonus. I would definitely recommend Maggie's course to anyone who is keen to have some fun whilst having a go. My only suggestion relates to signage. I got thrown off course by a sign at the nearby farm which indicates that only authorised personnel can go beyond that point but in fact Pretty Rubbish Mosaics is just beyond that sign. It would be great to have a lovely mosaic sign showing that the studio is beyond that farm sign. Thank you Maggie"

Really enjoyed it Maggie was very informative helpful and enthusiastic , providing ideas and lots off great materials ensureing we were all able to complete a piece to bring home. She also provided plenty of tea coffee and cake as well as some tasty soup for our lunch on the Saturday which we were able to enjoy in her amazing garden. Would certainly recommend it to others.
