Sam is a highly experienced maker, working and exhibiting with some of the leading craft and art galleries in the UK. His work is currently exhibited with galleries in London, Cambridge and St Ives alongside his teaching practice. He has lectured to university students and has a huge enthusiasm for teaching, alongside assisting numerous artists and jewellers with the production of their work both within the UK and internationally.

"Sam was absolutely brilliant! My sister (16) and I (17) had a jewellery workshop yesterday with a couple of our tutors as an end of exam treat. My sister has autism, plus we both have anxiety that can get quite intense at times. Sam made us feel at home from the get go! We were each warmly greeted with handshakes and smiles as Sam clearly introduced himself. During the course, he took care to explain things clearly, sometimes multiple times if we felt unsure. We were reassured the whole way through and never once felt uncomfortable! I really admired how Sam made sure to reassure me and make sure I didn't feel embarrassed when breaking a few saw blades as 'everyone does it'. He gave all four of us his full attention throughout and guided us through the experience. Sam was amazing! It was the most wonderful afternoon and we left with some gorgeous gorgeous rings. Such a positive experience of stepping out of our comfort zones! Thank You Sam! "

"Extremely enjoyable morning with my 6 year old granddaughter making bracelets (also time to make a copper ring each). Sam tailored the session ideally to our needs and had my granddaughter completely engaged for the full 4 hours. This was a winner, I would totally recommend"

"What an amazing day my best friend and I had. We made a spinner ring, ring band and earrings which were beautiful and very unique. Sam was the best teacher you could wish for- so patient, knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. I can’t recommend this enough and I will definitely be doing it again. Thank you. "

"We had a fabulous day making our beautiful rings with Sam. He is a great teacher, very kind and patient and excellent at explaining each stage clearly. The whole day was a lot of fun and we will definitely be going back to learn more. His cheese on toast is pretty good as well!"
