Maker's bio

I trained as a cabinetmaker 50 years ago. As a mature student, i obtained a first class honours degree in antique furniture conservation and restoration. I set up my business, Peter White Furniture, where for the last 20 years I have been restoring and upholstering antique furniture for clients. I now run traditional upholstery courses at my studio in Warwickshire.

Lynn reviewed: Upholstery project assessment before starting a course.

"As a complete novice, it was useful to have this initial chat with Peter. I took my project for him to look at and he gave me good advice on how I might proceed until my first class. We discussed some tools and methods (dos and don'ts). I now feel more confident about learning this skill as a hobby."

Peter White Furniture responded:

" Thank you for your kind comments. I look forward to working with you on your new project."
