"This is the second workshop with Anne that I have attended, as I enjoyed the workshop earlier this year so much, that I booked a space on the Christmas candle-making workshop as soon as I could. A friend saw what I had created at the first workshop and asked if she could come along too and really enjoyed it herself. Anne is very knowledgeable and gives very clear instructions, which are very easy to follow. She also has a great selection of scents and colours and glitter for that extra bit of Christmas sparkle. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who likes candles. Hastoe Village Hall is a great venue too."

"I cannot recommend highly enough this course, Anne is such a lovely person who made the course such an enjoyable relaxing day. She showed us how to make candles from the beginning to being able to take away our own delightfully scented and good quality candles. Her teaching method was perfect very easy to follow. A great value course I have recommended to friends. I actually have been twice on my own and this is a suitable event for individuals or friends. Very welcoming and friendly even if you attend alone."

"A superb morning spent with Anne. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole process of candle making. Anne’s manner of teaching was superb-patient and clear. The choice of scents to add to our candles was extensive and it was good to be using eco-friendly ingredients. I couldn’t believe how much Anne fitted into the workshop and we all went home with more candles than I had imagined we would make in the time. I would thoroughly recommend this course and would be keen to do another in the future."

"Wow! What a fabulous way to spend a Saturday morning! Anne was amazing, very patient and knowledgeable. She explained and re-explained as many times as we needed. The way the course was delivered was paced brilliantly. We made a bit of everything too, which kept it exciting. I honestly can’t recommend this course enough. As a beginner I feel completely comfortable to have a try on my own after this session. Everyone was friendly, kind and helpful. The tea and cake was a delightful little touch! "This course was excellent! Having done lots of research online about candle making I decided there were just too many contradictions about what you should and shoulder do, which resulted in my having questions about every stage of the process that really needed to be answered by someone who fully understood what happens and why. I attended this course early October 2020, and everything was COVID-Secure. Everything was set out for individual learning, and practical-based: there was no handbook to follow, just listening and doing which was great. (You do get a handbook by email after the course.) There was plenty of opportunity to ask questions, no matter how stupid they may have seemed to me (Ann didn't let oif they were stupid). Very importantly I got to smell every candle scent Ann had, which I know will have saved me a fortune in mis-purchased scents as what you think you're going to like you actually dont, and vice versa. I came home with a pillar candle, a jar candle, a tin candle, three metal tealights, two shaped tealights and six wax melts. By the end of the course I went away quite confident that i could make candles by myself without harming myself or the intended recipients, which is the best outcome you could want! Very happy, and excellent value for money. Thank you Ann!"

"Having done the basic candle making workshop with Anne, I felt confident that the advanced candle making workshop would be just as interesting and I wasn't disappointed. Anne patiently showed us how to place wooden wicks and explained their burning tendencies, explained how to choose wicks for multi-wick candles and demonstrated the cooling time of beeswax. I now have several gorgeously scented candles and wax melts! Very happy!"
