"A very enjoyable introduction to the topic of weaving and it was lovely to see some of the artist's gorgeous work on display. The looms were already set up when we arrived which meant we could go straight into the actual weaving without having too much technical input - it's still a lot to take in at the beginning as many different names for parts and processes are used! But we were provided with a print out of the main elements and lots of lovely patterns to choose from with labelled samples of each so we knew what effect we were aiming for. The fun of trying out different colours, textures and patterns was enough to keep us engaged all day and under Pamela's supervision and with her knowledgeable assistance we each achieved a 'sampler' piece to take away, and had a very enjoyable day. Thank you, Pamela. "

I had done some weaving before on a simple loom but using an 8-shaft loom was an eye-opening experience and I think I will be saving the pennies to buy one of my own!
