"My sister and I had a wonderful day with Rowena. She is a brilliant teacher, patient, precise and with a good sense of humour. We never felt lost in the process, which must be very easy. We felt supported at each stage. As we progressed she gave us space to remember what to do. We got to throw several bowls and could see our improvement. We then had access to lots of options to decorate a mould made bowl and again she was sensitive in giving more or less instruction as needed. I do not hesitate in recommending this course to anyone. You will have a fantastic satisfying time, learn lots and have beautiful items to collect once they are fired."

"My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 day course with Rowena. Rowena is an excellent teacher, explaining and demonstrating each technique before we tried it for ourselves, then staying close at hand to help as needed - but without taking over. Rowena is very encouraging and motivating and explains the rationale behind each step as you go along. We felt a real sense of achievement at how far we progressed over the course to the 2 days. We would wholeheartedly recommend this course."

"This 2 person pottery session is fantastic. We spent the morning throwing our pots. We had four attempts at them on the wheel. It's well worth doing a one to one/ two person session because you pick so much more up than woth a large groul. Rowena is a brilliant teacher. There's always the concern with these courses that it might take a 'create what you feel' approach but Rowena explained the technique perfectly and we could see improvement in our pots as we went along. We really felt we had learnt something. In the afternoon we made a dish in a mould which gave us the opportunity to paint and decorate and get a bit creative. Rowena is going to glaze our pots and we'll pick them up in a month or so. This course is definitely well worth it, can't recommend it enough if you are looking at trying some pottery."

"Perfect way to exit lockdown. I was very new to throwing and Rowena was the perfect teacher. Her enthusiasm and knowledge was infectious. She was patient and provided so much insight into how different techniques are used without it being overwhelming. Not only that she was able to adapt techniques suit me. I saw so much progression in the lesson from starting by making a small olive bowl through to a vase by the end of it. Definitely recommend this to anyone starting out in the clay world and also people with years of experience. A day full of laughter and one you can take at your own pace. I will most certainly be back."

"I did Rowena's one day course with my mum last month. We had such a lovely day. I was surprised by how much we managed to do in one session and we both got to make three pots on the wheel and another using a mold. "Throwing pots with Rowena was so good that I went back for a second session. She is a really good teacher, explains things clearly, helps correct your technique and wobbly disasters in a friendly easy going way. What's especially nice is that she frequently checks that her way of explaining things works for you and adapts that style to suit you. My confidence grew really quickly, and I felt like I was making real progress. She has some lovely pottery on display with beautiful glazes. Can't wait to see how my pots have turned out after they've been fired. This has been a truly worthwhile experience. Thank you Rowena."
