"Really enjoyed my day in Melissas studio, she was super welcoming and knowledgable. I hadn’t done anything with glass before so she talked me through everything, let me go at my own pace and guided me so that I’ve ended up with two pieces that I love! She is also in a great location and recommended a tasty ice cream shop and pretty walk for my lunch break."

Melissa Wellby Glass responded:

"Thank you Rachel, it was a great day and I enjoyed it too!"

"We had a fantastic day with Melissa at her studio. It was very relaxed and we learnt all the different aspects to do with glass fusion. Melissa is an excellent tutor and very knowledgeable in her field. We were able to come up with our own designs and with Mellissa’s guidance, achieved our goals. Really looking forward to seeing the finished pieces. We would highly recommend this course with Mellisa."

"Melissa was fantastic at delivering the workshop. Everything was explained well and we had plenty of time to practice what we had learnt before creating the final products. Nothing we wanted to create was too ambitious and Melissa made us feel very welcome. We walked away with plenty of knowledge about glass; how to fuse and cut it. Her studio is perfect for one to one sessions, making it worth the money. I would absolutely recommend this workshop to anyone who wants to learn about glass skills!"

Melissa Wellby Glass responded:

"Thank you so much for your lovely review. I really enjoyed my day too."

"I had a wonderful day with Melissa on the glass fusing course. I felt comfortable and confident very quickly and was able to progress at my own speed completing two pieces ready for firing before I left. Melissa explained each stage and backed up her explanation with a demonstration which I then practiced. There was a huge choice of materials and I was able to try many techniques. I would highly recommend this course."

Melissa Wellby Glass responded:

"Thank you for a lovely review. I’m so glad you enjoyed your day Nicky, and I’ll see you soon when you come to collect your beautiful pieces :)"

I made a beach hut and a dragonfly and I’m in love with the creativity and possibilities glass gives. Melissa is very patient , gave loads of encouragement and hints and tips, sharing her 29yrs experience and nothing was too much trouble. Very relaxed it was excellent"

"Melissa is a fantastic teacher and incredibly skilled. She is great at explaining how things work, and she is very encouraging and supportive! There are lots of different colours and types of glass to work with, as well as extra little things like frit (ground-up glass) and tiny fused glass blobs. It's a lot of fun to make a little picture - I really liked playing around with how things looked and trying different colours and all of that! It's a really nice introduction to working with glass: you learn some new skills while in a relaxed environment, and I'd definitely recommend it."

"I spent a lovely day with Melissa in her cosy glass studio. I learnt how to safely cut glass and how to put together a glass piece ready to be fused. Melissa was was very knowledgeable and her instructions were easy to understand which made me feel at ease. There were plenty of different coloured glass pieces to choose from along with lots of other shiny bits and bobs to use. Best of all I created something I absolutely love and I'm so proud of!! I would absolutely recommend this workshop and I'll definitely be attending more in the future."
