"A great day bashing copper, Lucille is a fantastic teacher nothing is too much trouble she explained each stage with a demonstration then let us make our own pieces of copper work. In the afternoon it was make your own project. Lucille was again on hand to give help and advice and practical demonstrations of copper forming techniques. As a complete novice I learnt a lot that day and would recommend the course to anyone thinking of taking up copper forming."

"I booked a blacksmithing course for myself, my partner and our Dads for Christmas and it was worth every penny. Lucille was a really welcoming and warm teacher. She made everyone feel very involved, from the orientation around the site to telling us all off when we didn't follow her instructions (it was a fun telling off!). She was incredibly patient and kind and really helped us all get the most of out of the day - including keeping us well fed with tea and biscuits. We all had different projects - a medieval feasting knife, a shoe scraper, a pair of coal tongs and a trivet. They all needed different skills and creative flourishes. I cannot praise this course or Lucille highly enough. Fantastic day out - really rewarding!"

"Amazing day. Lucile is an amazing teacher and guided us through a full day of learning and making (with timely tea breaks) . "Had an absolutely fantastic day under Lucille's excellent tutelage. She strikes a perfect balance of teaching by showing and helping without the sense of constantly being watched. She is very open to whatever you might turn up wanting to create and helps you either finalise your plan to ensure it's feasible to make on the day, or in my case if you haven't really got an idea she helps you come up with a really good one. My husband and I both love what she helped us create and had a fantastic day learning blacksmith techniques and then creating our own items."

"What a fantastic experience. As a group of four family members we enjoyed a wonderful fun-filled day. We learned so much from Lucille who is brilliant at teaching and encouraged us to explore the joys of making something out of copper. She helped us all individually and nothing was too much trouble. We are all delighted with our copper pieces of work and would highly recommend this course. We would love to do this again - or even the blacksmithing course as Lucille is an expert blacksmith. Her sense of humour and easy going approach made it all the more enjoyable. Loved the forge."

"I have done 2 of these 1 day courses with Lucille, and enjoyed them hughly, bringing back some long forgotten skills. Great teacher and very knowledgeable about how to translate your ideas into a tangible product by the end of the day. I now have 2 splendid bits of garden ornamentation, a Sea horse and an octopus. Highly recommended!"
