"Just finished an amazing day making a willow sculpture. It has been a sunny, hot, beautiful day and so lucky that we did the course in the garden. Kate is so talented and a great teacher. I am delighted with my duck. Particularly since I have not tried this sort of thing before."

"I had a brilliant day. It is really inspiring to create a sculpture from willow wands. With Kate's excellent tuition it was amazing to see my heron develop. Kate was very helpful and on hand for some of the trickier bits. The 6 or so hours sped by with a break for a lovely buffet lunch provided by Kate. We were also kept well watered with tea and coffee all day; willow weaving is thirsty work! This is a great way to spend a day and to have something creative to show for it at the end. Highly recommended for a really enjoyable day! Thanks Kate"

"What a fab day we had with Kate, making our herons. We were very proud of what we achieved in a day, thanks to Kate's guidance. Would recommend it to anyone who has never done willow weaving before or if you are looking for something different as a present. Thank you to husband Dave for the cups of tea and lunch."

"Just home from a brilliant day making our willow animals. Mum made a star gazing hare and I made a heron. The course is really relaxed and Kate is a fantastic tutor and host with so much patience. Would really recommend this course to anyone whether you have never done willow weaving before or a complete amateur like us. I am so proud to put my handy work on show and can't wait to attend another course."

"What can I say! A fabulous day. Times of frustration. Times of quiet concentration. But also plenty of giggles and laughter. I opted for a cat and my friend opted for a penguin. Kate had never made a penguin before but my friend left with one anyway. Kate was a great host and a fantastic teacher. Her instructions were clear. She was patient with our frustrations and poor weaving. She had time for everyone and ensured we all left happy with our sculpture. She even allowed the slower weavers - me and friend - overtime to ensure we completed our animals. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will be planning another visit! Thanks Kate"

"We were given this as a Christmas present and neither one of us had done anything remotely like this before! We had a truly wonderful day. There were 9 of us all of whom were completely new to making willow sculptures. We both made a duck - one standing and one sitting down. We were both surprised at how we were actually able to make a complete duck in a day! At one point I did think mine was going to transform into either a swan or a peacock. But it finally came together in the end. There was a lovely lunch provided by Kate's husband Dave. Who was also on hand to make tea/coffee throughout the day. We actually surprised ourselves at how much we enjoyed this course particularly as we had never done anything like this before. I would thoroughly recommend anyone having a go."

"My mum, sister & I recently spent the day with Kate making willow herons and a crow. The atmosphere was relaxed, supportive and friendly - the other people (approx 9 of us in total) on the course were all in the same boat complete beginners. We all had a brilliant day and couldn't believe from humble willow rods beginnings to making a 3d circle which we weren't sure were ever going to bind then turned into massive big willow sculptures; my heron was taller than me! Kate had some helpers which was neccessary as this craft is fairly intensive and tricky at first but it clicks and if not Kate is amazing at rescuing your work and getting you back on track again. I have and would recommend Kates workshops to others. A great value day where you'll end up with something amazing and unique to take home."

"Booked as a Christmas present for my sister - we both had a wonderful day and left with 2 lovely pheasants. Kate is a great tutor, giving good instruction and help as and when needed to get you (or rather our pheasants!) back on track. The day flew by and we left quite amazed at what we had created. I am now looking to return with a friend who wasn't able to come that day but was very impressed with the results. In leaving we missed saying goodbye to the others on the course, sorry - we really enjoyed your company too!"

"A crafty Christmas present, I'd never done any weaving of any discription prior to the day. I was stunned at what we achieved in a day as a complete novice. Kate gave great support during the day and creates a really relaxed experience in her home. I went with two friends and there was another two lovely ladies on the course. The day went really fast but Kate was great at keeping us on track. Throughly enjoyed the day"

"I was lucky to have the session by myself so had Kate's full attention. I would have been just as spoilt in a group (with attention and food). I was so relaxed sitting there making my pheasant that time flew by. The surroundings, Kate's company and the pure enjoyment of working with the willow was a real treat I would love to do again."

"Had a great day creating a willow sculpture with Kate. I had booked this course as a Christmas present for my Mum - we were both complete beginners and very pleasantly surprised at what we were able to achieve in just one day! Thanks to Kate's patience and guidance by the end of the day we had created a pair of herons. It was a lovely relaxing day, would highly recommend even if you are a complete novice!"

"I had a wonderful day of willow weaving with Kate and three other lovely participants yesterday. I already have experience of basket weaving but have wanted to try animal sculpture for some time, so when I made a rather large heron yesterday I was absolutely thrilled. Kate was patient, calm and friendly. She provided a lovely environment and guided brilliantly. Thank you Kate. Really looking forward to returning a week Saturday for another creative day :-)"

"I booked the day as a surprise 9th wedding anniversary present for my wife. I wouldn't describe either of us as 'crafty' in any way, so we were both a little nervous on the day. Kate and her partner could not have been more welcoming or helpful. We had a great day, great fun in a lovely house with copious amounts of food and drink. Best of all we made our wedding anniversary gifts for each other (even though my attempt was, frankly, pathetic and had to rescuedby Kate). So, we none crafters are looking at a return visit in the summer, a thoroughly memorable day and well worth a try."

"By happy accident (for me) I was the only participant on the course so had extra special tuition from Kate throughout the day. She is very knowledgeable and creative, offering hands on support and advice to help me make a wonderful - if rather large - heron. As I had not worked with willow much beforehand I was uncertain as to what I would be able to achieve, but I was delighted with the end result! Kate and Dave were very friendly and welcoming, with plenty of refreshments available during the day - although I didn't really want to stop! I have no hesitation in recommending this course to others."

"We have never worked with willow before so it was an absolute new beginning for us both. Kate was extremely welcoming and we decided to make a pair of herons. She is an incredible artist having seen some of her paintings and willow animals that she has made. Quite a lot of the time we were in absolute silence with concentration, then laughed. What a brilliant day which went far to fast. We had a very pleasant light lunch provided by Kate (prepared by Dave, thank you Dave) but we were just so keen to get back to the heron making. Before we knew it it was time to go. This course has inspired us and we would recommend the course especially if you have never tackled this before. Kate as an excellent teacher and a very nice person. Thank you so very much Kate."

"I had the most wonderful time willow weaving! Kate is extremely helpful and friendly. I made a willow duck and have received many compliments for it! Kate was very flexible and would accommodate for the sculpture you were interested in making. There were plenty of teas and coffees and even some yummy cakes provided throughout the day. A lovely lunch was also provided and vegetarians were catered for. I would recommend anybody who's interested in willow weaving sculptures to give this a go! I thoroughly enjoyed my day outdoors willow weaving. Thanks again Kate!"

"I have just spent a fantastic day with Kate, sat in her lovely garden learning how to make willow sculptures. Kate is an excellent teacher and showed us how to start the construction process and guided me so that I could achieve what I wanted. Kate and Dave ( and Borris and Bertie) were wonderful hosts keeping us supplied with tea and coffee and biscuits, even though we were concentrating so much we sometimes forgot to drink! We were also given a lovely lunch followed by cakes. I managed to make a running hare, which just about fitted in the boot and finished his ears and tail at home. There were three of us on the course and Kate helped us all to make a sculpture each, I would recommend this to anyone interested in trying this craft, you will be amazed at what Kate will help you create."

"I had a brilliant day working with Kate making my willow donkey (Derek), the day was very relaxed and in a lovely setting. Kate is an incredibly talented artist , with a calm and supportive approach ,so I was able to understand the concept of proportion and depth ( not just a wonky donkey with stick legs!), it was probably a big expectation for a one day course on my part, but Kate talked me through the finishing touches and gave me the materials to carry on. A lovely lunch, tea, coffee and cakes were also provided throughout the day, thank you Dave. I would recommend anybody who's interested in willow weaving sculptures to enrol on the course and a big thank you to Kate for all your input and for being able to share the day with your wonderful animals."
