Maker's bio

I've always been very creative and artistic so I decided to attend a willow weaving workshop myself and thoroughly enjoyed it and was hooked. I set up my workshops 4 years ago and have met some wonderful people who have sculpted some fantastic sculptures. I also work away from home at various venues across Leicestershire and I work on commissions and also sell my work on ebay along with my artwork

"I had a wonderful day making a pheasant willow sculpture for my garden. Kate was very patient and helpful and we all ended the day with a great piece of art to take home. I would definitely recommend this workshop for anyone who would like to have a go and learn a new skill. "

"Thank you Kate for a most fabulous day. It was great fun and we all were able to make some fabulous willow sculptures with your help that will look great in the garden. So much nicer to have a piece made by ourselves rather than bought. I would highly recommend this fun day of crafting and am sure we shall book again. "

Esther reviewed: Kate Morrell willow sculpture courses

"Well, I’m very pleased with the stork that I made with the help of Kate & I think I learnt something. The course was in a lovely garden & it was nice to spend a day outside. I may have learnt more. I didn’t always quite understand what I was aiming for. The group was 1/2 inside & 1/2 out ( people’s choice). It may be that had we all been pulled together for what to do at the next step or all in 1 place we could have learnt more from each other & heard more advice given to others. Sometimes work had to be undone as progression had gone too far when left to one’s self. But all in all I’m very pleased with my sculpture"
