"My Mam and I recently attended a taster workshop with Julie - it was brilliant. Julie is just a wonderful teacher, providing guidance and instruction where needed & really encouraging you to get your crafty/arty side going! I really loved that the workshop was just my Mam and I as it was given as a gift, so it was lovely to have some quality time together. We both made coasters and with Julie's kind guidance, they have all turned out super well and we are really pleased with them. In terms of materials available, Julie has it all which really kick started our imaginations. Honestly cannot recommend Julie and her workshops more highly."

"This was a Christmas present from my daughter. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and Julie was really attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Julie has a vast stock of items to make whatever you would like. There are so many possibilities of creating a unique item for yourself or family. I made coasters, each one totally different by using the various glasses that were available and tools to create my designs. Highly recommended."

"My daughter purchased a session as a birthday surprise and something we could do together. I was initially a bit nervous because I'm not creative and my daughter is. However, Julie soon put me at ease and I thoroughly enjoyed my session. I was quite blown away by the amount of different products in Julie's workshop - lots of beautiful colours and different textures that I found it hard to choose; like being a kid in a sweetie shop. Julie was very friendly, knowledgeable and encouraging. She was there each step of the process and gave advice but not in an overbearing manner so I felt very comfortable attempting to produce my own glass objects. Julie's mince pies and apple pies which went down well with our tea/coffee. I had a thoroughly enjoyable session and will be returning."

"Had a lovely morning with 3 friends yesterday making Christmas decorations. Julie was very friendly & knowledgeable offering us advice when we needed it & explaining all the results using the different types of glass would make to the finished items. She gave us all the information we needed to design 2 decorations each & supplied tea / coffee cake & biscuits to keep us going! Julie talked us through the different types of glass available and encouraged us to use all forms. "I did one of Julie's taster sessions a few months ago (apologies for taking so long to review it!). I'm not a crafty/arty person at all and didn't really believe I'd be able to produce anything worth putting in the kiln. But Julie is a great teacher, very helpful and relaxed with lots of ideas to help anyone stuck for inspiration. It was a very enjoyable afternoon and I was delighted with the 2 coasters I made. I really recommend trying one of Julie's courses, whatever your ability level. Thanks Julie!"

"My sister paid for us both to attend this taster class in fused glass for my Birthday. I am into my crafts and painting but had never done any glasswork before. My sister claims not to be "arty" or "creative" but I think she just hadn't discovered something crafty that she is particularly good at because the coasters she created were amazing. Julie was a fantastic host and a great teacher, explaining everything and giving us free rein but also offering helpful suggestions where necessary! The range of materials available to use on our coasters was phenomenal - we particularly loved the glass pieces with flowers/bees on and the iridescent glass. My sister was able to collect our coasters after they'd been in the kiln a couple of days later. They will be used with pride!!! Thank you Julie for a fantastic taster session. ?"

We dithered for too long, but Julie’s advice and support was a great help. We’ve booked the Christmas workshop, it was that much fun!"

"I purchased the taster workshop as a present for my friend, we went went along together and both had a great couple of hours ( and a little bit extra time as Julie didn't usher us out of the door as soon as our time was up!!! ). We were greeted by Julie and given lots of information and top tips from her whilst we both enjoyed a nice coffee and biscuits. The choice of glass colours, styles and quirky pieces were fantastic. The design of the coasters was ours to make. Julie did show us lots of samples that she had previously designed and fused in her kiln, to give us inspiration. Julie was so patient and encouraging. In such a short space of time I really feel as though I have learnt so much. We were very pleased with our two coasters each and left them in Julie's capable hands to fuse in her kiln, after only 2 days I received the message that our coaster were ready to collect. I would highly recommend this workshop, we both feel inspired to learn more..."
