About the Course

I have been making glass for over 7 years . I love sharing my experience and tips with others I have done a number of courses and usually greeted with " I have never made anything or I can not do that". When they have created and see their great results they go away proud. This all happens at my house .

Very relaxed and easy course, just friends sat round a table, yet we all produced some lovely decorations.

I first attended Julie's workshop last year to make Christmas Decorations. I had such a great time and loved my decorations so couldn't wait to make more. Julie is so welcoming and friendly and very helpful. Everything was laid out ready, including excellent refreshments. A great afternoon making decorations, chatting and laughing amongst friends and I love my new decorations. Very good value for money. I would definitely recommend one of Julie's workshops, two hours of relaxation and fun.

I attended a Christmas Glass Workshop with Julie last year and thought my sister would too so we attended one of Julie's workshops in October. We had a lovely warm welcome from Julie and were put at ease straight away (neither Margaret or I are artistic in anyway). Julie had all the materials set out on the table, as well as biscuits and tartlets. Julie explained about the glass we were using and what everything was for (she didn't have to explain what to do with the biscuits and tartlets), and there were plenty of shapes to choose from and, oh, the beautiful colours. Julie was there all the time offering advice and encouragement. We left our Christmas decorations with Julie for the kiln and Julie gave them to me a few days later. Needless to say both sister and I are extremely happy with the results. I would recommend this course to anyone. It is 2 hours of fun out of a busy life. Thank you, Julie

An excellent afternoon making Christmas glass decorations. Everything was laid out and ready for us, and there were plenty of decorations to choose from. Julie was an excellent tutor and host. Very pleased with our finished decorations and we can't wait to do another course. Very good value for money and we would certainly recommend this course.

I have recently retired and this was my first outing "doing something different" - it couldn't have been a better choice! I have done nothing creative in the past but Julie was a really encouraging and helpful teacher. She began with a very warm welcome to her home to put everyone at their ease, then told us some fascinating facts about glass before explaining how to make our decorations. She was always on hand to give advice and, as a result, I now have two decorations that will definitely have a place on the tree! I'm looking into giving vouchers for Julie's classes as Christmas gifts for my nieces too...

I took the Christmas decoration course last year, I had never done a course in glass before so was a little rabbit in the headlights however I needn't have been as julie explained the full process, she explained how some colours come out completely differently after being in the kiln. I absolutely loved it I had brought a friend along as part of her Christmas present as she adores anything Christmas I had a very excited friend after the workshop while waiting to see how our decorations turned out! If you love Christmas and making this is a must! Our decorations were so lovely and wrapped up well on collection such a exciting moment opening them up it was a lovely start to festivities
